Lenora College of Engineering, Ramachandrapuram Admission Process

Lenora College of Engineering located at Ramachandrapuram (LCE) is a prestigious north Andhra Pradesh engineering college offering various programs in engineering at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma levels. The admission to LCE programs usually commences in May-June for the academic year starting in August-September. Most of the time, state-level entrance exams become the base for admissions into various other programs. For under graduation, participation in AP EAMCET is very crucial. For postgraduation, the highly specialized program is introduced through AP PGECET, while for diploma, entrance is through AP POLYCET scores.

To obtain admission to the B.Tech program, the applicant must have cleared 10+2 or its equivalent from a recognized board with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as mandatory subjects. For M.Tech programs, the candidate must have obtained a bachelor's degree from some recognized university.

APPLICATION PROCESS

The application process at LCE for the various programs is different:

For the B.Tech programs:

  1. Qualify the AP EAMCET exam.
  2. Register for counseling through the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).
  3. During the counseling session, the candidates must select LCE and preferred courses.
  4. Upon receiving a seat, the candidate will need to report to LCE for document verification and fee payment.

For the M.Tech Programs:

  1. Qualify the AP PGECET examination.
  2. Apply through the centralized counseling process conducted by APSCHE.
  3. Select LCE and the M.Tech specialization of choice during counseling.
  4. The student must consequently complete the admission formalities at LCE.

For the Diploma Programs:

  1. Qualify the AP POLYCET examination.
  2. Participate in counseling for admission into polytechnics.
  3. Once allotted, the student will choose LCE and will then have to report for admission procedures.

DEGREE-WISE ADMISSION PROCESS

B. Tech: LCE offers five B. Tech programs with a total intake of 300 seats in them, as 60 for each. Admissions are for AP-EAMCET marks as per these programs:

  • Computer Science and Engineering (60 seats)
  • Civil Engineering (60 seats)
  • Electrical and Electronics Engineering (60 seats)
  • Electronics and Communication Engineering (60 seats)
  • Mechanical Engineering (60 seats)

M.Tech: The college offers 6 M.Tech specializations with a total of 132 seats. For the M.Tech programs, admissions are based on AP-PGECET scores. The programs include:

  • Power Electronics (24 seats)
  • Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering (24 seats)
  • Structural Engineering (24 seats)
  • VLSI System Design (24 seats)
  • Computer Science and Engineering (18 seats)
  • Embedded Systems (18 seats)

Diploma: LCE offers 4 diploma courses with 60 seats a piece, totaling 240 seats. Admissions are by the AP POLYCET marks. The diploma courses are as given below:

  • Civil Engineering
  • Computer Science and Engineering
  • Electronics and Communication Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering

The documents which are generally required for admission consist of:

  • AP EAMCET/AP PGECET/AP POLYCET rank card
  • 10th Class and 12th Class pass and marksheets
  • Transfer Certificate
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  • Income Certificate (if applicable)
  • Aadhar Card
  • Recent passport size photographs.
