Mahatma Gandhi College of Law, Gwalior Admission Process

Mahatma Gandhi College of Law (MGCL), Gwalior, is a well-reputed college that stands out for its high standards of legal education. Affiliated with the Bar Council of India (BCI), the college provides law programs that aim to develop efficient legal professionals. MGCL's admission process is designed to choose worthy candidates for its different law courses.

The MGCL admission process follows the academic year, which generally starts in July or August. Although dates may differ, interested students are requested to prepare applications as early as possible, preferably in early spring. Academic record in qualifying exams and sometimes scores of law entrance tests are considered by the college.

For BA LLB Integrated and LLB undergrauduate programs, applicants are required to have passed the 10+2 or equivalent exam from a known board. The precise eligibility requirements, i.e., the minimum percentage criteria, might differ for different programs and usually come out before starting the admission process.

  • Entrance exam scorecard (if required)

5. Entrance Exam/Interview: Depending on the course and the current admission policy of the college, the candidates might be asked to appear for an entrance exam or sit for an interview. This is done to enable the college to gauge the candidate's aptitude and fitness for the selected course.

6. Merit List: On the basis of the candidates' performance in academics, entrance exam marks (if any), and interview, the college prepares and releases a merit list of shortlisted candidates.

7. Admission Confirmation: Candidates shortlisted for admission must acknowledge their admission by paying the fee and submitting original documents for verification within the designated time limit.

8. Orientation: Admitted students are normally invited to report for an orientation program to orient them to the college, facilities, and expectations of academics.
