Degree wise Admission Process
BA (Bachelor of Arts): Manabendra Sarma Girls' College provides a regular BA course with 14 specializations. Merit-based only admission is provided for all BA courses. The college admits a total of 1,135 students in all courses.
BA Economics Major: The course has an approved intake of 20 seats. Merit-based admission is provided based on the performance of the candidate in the qualifying examination.
BA Education Major: 40 seats in this major are available, which is provided after a merit list of students' performance at the time of application.
BA Arabic Major: Admission to this programme is 20 seats, and admission also on a merit basis based on qualifying exam marks.
BA Assamese Major: The most popular programme has 50 seats. Admission is merit list basis prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying test.
BA Political Science Honours: It has 20 seats for the honours course, admission to which is on merit basis.
The remaining BA honours courses are Philosophy, History, Elective Assamese, Elective Bodo, and general BA. All these have the same procedure of admission by merit.
