This college has various good reviews about it also it ranks 7th in the list of all engineering college across Mumbai This college has very good infrastructure also the college has well-educated staff provided with a proper canteen in college itself. Also, alumni are well managed. Labs are good. Sometimes net is not available.
The Mumbai University sets the Course Curriculum, and they renew the syllabus after every 4 years. Being in the comps branch, the syllabus needs to updated to the industrial standards, which it fails to do. We study 4-5 years old technology now. There are 2 unit tests every semester and a final end sem exam after that.
The internship has been done in reliance on thermal power plant without stipend. Marketing company like Byjus, Zycus are coming in the campus. Avg salary is around INR 3.2 LPA-4 lpa. Yes. Well known companies like Infosys, tcs, wipro, sib, byjus app, agile manufacturers... Visits our college yearly and place much students in to it. Our alumni also play an important role in bringing various companies to our college.
It is average when compared to all the engineering colleges in Mumbai. Yearly fees are around 1L. It is feasible for many, but because of Freeships and Scholarships by Government of Maharashtra, people get tuition fee waiver making the course feasible for all.
The cultural fest conducted yearly helps to develop the extra curricular activities among students. Sports like cricket, football, volley ball, badminton are played by students with proper guidance from the coach.
Good staff, ample of opportunities, 75% attendance implies you to attend compulsorily, industrial training (incase of instrumentation branch), seminars, only one class of 60 students. Negatives - Placement scenario needs immediate attention for improvement. Canteen has poor seating arrangements, food is average.
The course curriculum is well designed by the experienced faculties teaching comps Engineering under Mumbai University. Recently, their has been changes in the curriculum so as to meet industrial needs. There are 2 unit tests of 20 marks each carried out, one is after 30-40% syllabus gets covered, the next is during term end. Final semester exams of 80 marks take place after practical and oral exams.
Almost 75% of the students were placed. The highest international salary offered was Rs. 3 Lacs per month. The average salary package offered is 7 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, Amazon, etc. Computer engineers are the top roles offered. About 30% of the students got internships in our college.
Fees are expensive (Around 100,000 - 110,000). This is for open category students. For reserved category students, fees are deduced to almost half of the normal fees 50,000 - 60,000 for OBC, 10,000 - 20,000 for SC,ST). You have to confirm the fees structure with college.
My branch offers industrial training to students of each year (SE, TE, BE) at SIEMENS. They recently started to give training at college itself. I don't know much about it. You have to be in good books of the staff so that they could inform you about any competitions, projects, internships and jobs. Events like zodiac and icarus are held in month of march.
Having a good time.
The infrastructure of the college is just okay........ It can be improved a lot.........The library and most of the labs have been maintained.......the sports ground is about a minute away from the college
Like any other mu college you may find some good and bad teachers.....different people may have different opinions about the professor....acc to me most of the staff is quite good and also friendly with the students
To be frank...... Campus placements are just okay.....every field in engineering is currently oversaturated ........ So finding a decent and a good job might take some time......you have to do some extra certification courses to get a good job
There is almost nothing bad remarks as per college. College is strict as well. Also, the proper security guard is there for Id check-in in college In the college, a faculty is helpful for students to their problem. Labs are well maitained. Proper facilities are provided.
Course curriculum is followed by Mumbai University pattern which very outdated, it needs to updated according to new technologies and requirements in market. Exam structure is semester based CBGS (credit based grading system). There are two internal assessment examination (20 marks each) every semester, average of which is added in final result. At end of the semester there is end sem examination of 80 marks. Teachers teach well

Fee structure varies every year slightly but it is decided by Fee Structure Commitee of Mumbai University. In my case it is approximately 99,000 per year. It's feasible, as Maharashtra government provides good amount of scholarship ship for reserver categories, but it may be expensive for students belonging to other states.
Various events are conducted throughout the year. All events are managed by alumni students and also conducted under the surveillance of faculty staff. Two types of major events happen those are mainly Technical and cultural festival. Technical events are most helpful for students technical Knowledge and improve their skills and knowledge. Culture festivals are for the enjoyment of students.

There are 2 internal assessment test taken Each paper of internal assessment is marks of 20 marks each subject. Also, there are orals which are conducted before university papers.

Our college is one of the best engineering college in Mumbai, but quality of education is not upto the level upto which it should be infact all private engineering colleges in India have same condition. Infrastructure is well developed.

Placements and job opportunities in our college is not so good as in our campus only IT companies visited this year so it becomes very tough for students of other branches because IT companies always gives preferences to Comps/IT students directly or indirectly.TCS and Infosys are the top recruiting companies that visited to our college. The avg. Salary offer is 3.5L per annum. And the highest salary would be 5L per annum. Almost 20-25% of students were attended the interview.

There are various technical committees like RGIT-IEEE, IETE students forum, MESSA, CESS, ABIT, ASME, aeroRGIT etc which provides opportunities for students to participate in extracurricular activities like various seminar, workshop, career guidance, project competition etc. Labs are not very well equipped in our department also in other departments also. There are college Football and Cricket teams which participate in various inter college matches. There is various sports events
The college does have all the basic amenities, which is satisfying the infrastructure is good ,however no campus. The college does have a well maintained library with over 2000 books , journals and papers.
As of the teaching most of the teachers are excellent in their respective domains , the curriculum is slightly outdated and needs further enhancement for further employability and further placements .
The placements are average , we do have presence of recruiter's like TCS,jio, and many more like them , the training and placement cell provides a good exposure to all these recruitments and provides internship as well
About a lakh
The campus life is awesome , the student council and the various departments are always engaged in organizing workshop, seminar , internship drives , councilling , sports and other co curricular activities
Labs are well maintained. Facilities are up to mark as needed. Most importantly internet access should be provided at least on lab computers. The only thing I love about this college is its scenic view visible from the college windows.

Sports happen only during the cultural fest. The rest of the days there is no encouragement from the college. Zodiac: The college's biggest cultural festival. It happens every year at the end of March. It lasts for 2-3 days with various events like dancing, singing, concerts, marathon, competitive events, etc. 2) ICARUS: Its a technical fest of our college. This happens just before the Zodiac. Various tech contests and exhibitions takes place. The main attraction here is RoboWars.

All basic facilities are available in college. College infrastructure is overall good. Spacious classrooms with projectors wherever necessary, labs, xerox & stationary centre ,Wi-Fi in library is also available. Canteen provides good food.
I'm currently pursuing 2nd year of Mechanical Engineering from Rajiv Gandhi College. Teaching quality is good. Teachers are having good experience. Industry visits , Internships are provided by college for practical understanding.
Quality of placement is average. IT companies like Infosys came during campus placement. IT and Comps students are getting placed well as compared to other departments. Placement Cell is there in the college which provides information about Job apportunities , internships to all students.
The cost of course is around Rs.96,500 per year for open category students. This cost differs according to the categories. Also different scholarships are also available. Cost is quite high for open category students but one can apply for TFWS scheme also.
College don't have a big campus which one must have thought of. The campus is so small. During the annual fest different contests, games happens in the campus only. Location is good. Versova beach is so nearby to college. Also Versova meuro station, Juhu Beach and Infinity mall is also nearby.
Overall my 2 years experience is good. Teachers are helpful too. They used to clear my doubts. So many extra curricular activities happens in college almost on daily basis. Most importantly no ragging is there in college. All seniors are also so supportive.
Dear aspirant,
I would recommend you to take up computer science and engineering because electronics and telecommunication should be opted only if you have interest in electronics otherwise not.
Ece branch is really a tough one to deal it rather than computer science. You can take cse in a bit lower college rather than taking rjti.
Hi,
I hope you are doing well.
Almost 85% of students from the computer science branch from this college get placed during the placement cell.
The highest package offered to a student in the recent batch was around 8-9’lakhs per annum & on average students from computer science branch get placed with a package salary around 4-6lakhs per annum.
Top companies who take part in the placement cell are as :-TCS, Infosys, Mindstix, etc.
I hope the above information helps.
All the very best.
