Degree-wise Admission Process

Post Basic B.Sc Nursing: This 2-year program has an approved intake of 20 students. It is designed for registered nurses who wish to upgrade their qualifications. Applicants must have completed their GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) course and possess a valid nursing registration.

M.Sc Nursing: MES College of Nursing provides the courses for M.Sc Nursing. There are three specializations for this course, including Psychiatric Nursing, Community Health Nursing, and Medical Surgical Nursing. The college permits an intake of 5 students under each specialization. Usually, a B.Sc Nursing degree with a minimum percentage of marks as specified by the college is expected to pass the admission process in these courses. Work experience in nursing can also be expected.

ANM: Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery program approved intake 30 students, and this course is offered for candidates aspiring to be an auxiliary nurse and midwife. This would most likely depend on the result of the 10+2 and may even emphasize more on the science streams.

GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery): With an approved intake of 40 students, this diploma program prepares students for general nursing and midwifery roles. Admission is mainly 10+2 qualified with the preference going to those who qualified in science stream.
