MES Dental College, Malappuram Admission Process

The College and is duly recognized as one of the prominent colleges in Kerala, India. Admission procedures carried out at MES Dental College are rigorous enough to select the most highly qualified candidates for the college's dental programs. Affiliated to the Dental Council of India (DCI), MES Dental College follows the Directorate of Medical Education Admission Norms prescribed by the Government of Kerala within the fraternity of colleges recognized for that purpose. The principal criterion for admission into MES Dental College is the NEET scores. The NEET is a nationwide entrance examination meant for aspiring medical and dental students in India. Application Process

Each program has a different application process for MES Dental College, Malappuram:

For BDS Program:

  3. Upon announcing the NEET MDS results, qualified candidates can participate in the counselling process.
  4. Based on their NEET MDS rank and seat availability, students can choose their preferred MES-specialized MDS program.
  5. Selected candidates will then complete the process of admission at the college, which involves document verification and payment of the tuition fee.

The following documents are typically required for admission:

  • NEET/NEET MDS score card
  • 10+2 mark sheets and certificates
  • BDS degree certificate and mark sheets (only applicable to the MDS admissions)
  • Transfer certificate
  • Migration certificate (as per applicability)
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Other required certificates as forwarded by the concerned institute or the State government.

Admission Process Degree Wise 

BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery): The sanctioned intake for the BDS course in MES Dental College is 100. Admission into this course is done through merit scored by the student in the NEET exam. The BDS program is conducted through counseling by the Directorate of Medical Education, Kerala State Government, by the NEET-entry system. Candidates should have 10+2 training, with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects, to qualify for the BDS course.

MDS (Master of Dental Surgery): Various MDS specializations offered at MES Dental College include:

  1. MDS Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics (3 seats)
  2. MDS Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (3 seats)
  3. MDS Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics (3 seats)
  4. MDS Prosthodontics and Crown and Bridge (3 seats)

Admission to the above-mentioned MDS programs is based on the scores obtained in NEET MDS. To become eligible for an MDS program, candidates should have undergone an BDS course in a recognized institution.
