Mina Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women, Miryalguda Admission Process

Mina Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women (MIETW). It is a women-only engineering institution located in Miryalguda, Telangana. Here, it offers numerous UG, PG, and diploma programs in engineering and management study and trains admission into the institute on a merit-based system, ensuring a candidate's fair chance of acceptance. Normally, the admission process at MIETW begins in the preceding months of the academic year, i.e. August and September. The institution accepts applications from different state-level entrance exams based on their respective courses. Admission to the undergraduate B.Tech programs are based on the results of the Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET), M.Tech programs consider the Telangana State Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS PGECET) results as major criteria, and MBA programs look at the scores in the Telangana Integrated Common Entrance Test (TSICET). 

Above all, students selected for the diploma go on the basis of the Telangana State Polytechnic Common Entrance Test. Basic eligibility criteria for UG programs generally include the candidate successfully passing 10+2 from a recognized board with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects. A qualifying examination is a standard requirement in most cases-students need to have a minimum of 50% in their 12th-grade examination; however, there may be some specifications. For admission in a PG program, one should have obtained a relevant bachelor's from a recognized university with a minimum of 50-55% of marks or equivalent CGPA.

Application Process

Application process at MIETW will vary based on the program as under:

For B.Tech programs:

  1. Qualify the TS EAMCET examination.
  2. Register for the state-level counseling process.
  3. Choose MIETW and preferred courses during the counseling process.
  4. If allotted a seat, report to MIETW for document verification and fee payment.

For M.Tech programs:

  1. Qualify the TS PGECET examination.
  2. Apply through the state-level admission process for M.Tech programs.
  3. Participate in the counseling process if shortlisted.
  4. Complete admission formalities at MIETW if allotted a seat.

For MBA program:

  1. Qualify the TSICET examination.
  2. Apply through the state-level admission process for MBA programs.
  3. Participate in the counseling process if shortlisted.
  4. Complete admission formalities at MIETW if allotted a seat.

For Diploma programs:

  1. Qualify the TS POLYCET examination.
  2. Apply through the state-level admission process for diploma programs
  3. Participate in the counseling process.
  4. If allotted a seat, report to MIETW for document verification and admission formalities.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Tech: MIETW provides B.Tech programs in various areas, such as Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and Data Science. The admissions are through TS EAMCET scores. The institute has a total intake capacity of 360 students applying for B. Tech, with Computer Science and Engineering getting the highest intake of students, that is, 180 seats.

M.Tech: VLSI System Design and Computer Science and Engineering M.Tech programs are on offer. Admission is based on PGECET scores. Seats for each program sit at 24. Candidates must hold a BE/B.Tech degree or its equivalent in the relevant field.

MBA: MIETW has an MBA program in which around 60 students are to be admitted. Admissions are made through TSICET scores. Any student who is an undergraduate in any discipline is eligible. The method will be decided by entrance test scores and other criteria mentioned by the institution.

Diploma: Admissions to different specializations across Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering are made based on TS POLYCET scores. A total intake of 240 students has been arranged for this program, with Computer Science and Engineering taking its seat at 120.

The documents generally required for admissions include:

  • Passport-sized photographs
  • 10-12th mark sheet and certificates
  • Entrance exam score card
  • Degree certificates and mark sheets (for PG programs)
  • Caste certificate (if any)
  • Domicile certificate (if required)
  • Any other relevant certificates given by the institute or state admission authority.
