MIT WPU School of Fine Arts, Pune is one of the constituent colleges of MIT-World Peace University. As a constituent college, it has specifically designed admissions for the identification of talented people who are keenly interested in visual arts. Institute Majorly Offers Following Courses In Fine Arts The special focus on applied arts and digital arts is what is provided.

The admission cycle generally coincides with the academic year, which generally starts in August-September.

For undergraduate programs, the minimum eligibility criterion is the successful completion of 10+2 from a recognized board. The institute lays great emphasis on artistic talent and potential, which is assessed through a rigorous selection process.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.F.A. Applied Arts This is a four-year full-time program with an intake capacity of 40 students. The admission process involves a Drawing Test, Portfolio Assessment, and Personal Interaction. Candidates scoring positive in UCEED/PERA/MAH CET (Applied Arts) are exempted from the Drawing Test.

B.F.A. in Digital Arts : The course demands candidates to undertake a Drawing Test, Portfolio Assessment, and Personal Interaction, akin to the structure of the Applied Arts program. UCEED/PERA/MAH CET qualified students can seek exemption, too.

M.F.A. Applied Arts: Selection is done with a Drawing Test, Personal Interaction, and Portfolio Assessment for the postgraduate programme. This gives the university confidence that the applicant has the creative ability and required skills to enter the advanced stage of applied arts.

Ph.D. Visual Arts: The doctorate course process is more severe, and involves the following procedure:

  1. Ph.D. Entrance Test of MITWPU (Exemption for UGC-NET/UGC-CSIR NET/GATE/CEED/GPAT qualified students)
  2. Interview/Viva-voce for test-qualifying candidates
  3. Selection on the basis of a weightage of 70% for the entrance test and 30% for the performance in interview
  4. Provisional admission granted to the selected candidates
