Mount Zion College of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research, Adoor Admission Process

Mount Zion College of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research, Adoor, is a specialized institution that provides pharmaceutical education in Kerala. It is one of the few PCI affiliate colleges in the country that offers a focused learning atmosphere for students pursuing a career in pharmacy.  Admission to this college is entirely based on the admission procedure, which is merit-based and considers the academic performance of applicants in qualifying examinations. This institution is under the PCI, thus, they have their guidelines for admissions. Aspirants for the B.Pharma program have to complete their 10+2 education, having Physics and Chemistry as well as Biology or Mathematics as the most important subjects.

Application Process

1. This is where students will visit the college official website for admission notifications and applications.

2. Download the application form and fill in your personal and academic details there correctly.

3. Back up all documents required as they may include:

  • 10th and 12th standard mark sheets and certificates
  • Transfer certificate from the last institution attended and
  • Character certificate
  • Recent passport-size photographs.
  • Any other documents specified by the college

4. The complete application form and all required documents must be submitted to the college admission office within the stipulated time.

5. Pay the application fees as stated by the college.

6. Wait for the merit list or college intimation.

7. If selected, report to the college for document verification and securing a seat in the college.

8. Complete the admission process by paying required fees and submitting any additional documents as requested by the college.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Pharma: The 4-year full-time Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma) program is offered by Mount Zion College of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research. This was the only program offered by the institute at the time. The program is approved for an intake of 60 students per year and now consists of a total of 233 students.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Completion of 10+2 equivalent to a recognized board or institution.
  2. Physics and Chemistry are important subjects, in addition to either Biology or Mathematics.
  3. As per PCI norms, a minimum aggregate score is to be attained in the qualifying exam.

The B. Pharma course is aimed at providing comprehensive knowledge and skills in pharmaceutical sciences to enable graduates' entrance into career permissions in healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors. The curriculum encompasses wide areas in pharmacy, including pharmacology, pharmaceutics, medicinal chemistry, and pharmacy practice.
