MSPVL Polytechnic College was set up in the year 1985 and it is technical college in Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu. It is an affiliated college, approved by the AICTE, that covers an area of 39.635 acres to provide rich and diverse diploma programmes. MSPVL Polytechnic College registered a total student strength of 1823 and with a faculty of 95 has emerged as one of the premier technical institution in the region. The institution provides seven diploma courses in various fields of engineering to meet market demands and make sure that the students have the necessary ground work to meet their intended career paths upon completion of the coarse.

The campus includes separate hostels for boys’ and girls, both hostels can accommodate more than 250 students. MSPVL Polytechnic College presently has seven full time diploma courses that are spread over a period of three years. These programmes span across Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering, Automobile engineering, Computer engineering , Information Technology, and Electronics and Communication Engineering. The college has got a reasonable approved intake throughout these courses, though Mechanical Engineering intake has the highest potentialities with 180 seats and Electronics and communication with 120 seats each for Electrical and Electronics, Civil and Automobile Engineering intakes. Computer Engineering has 60 intake capacity and Information Technology has intake capacity of 30. This wide coverage of courses enables students to select a course of their preference in their area of dreams.
