Nalanda Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Guntur, is among the finest schools in Andhra Pradesh for pharmaceutical studies.  The admission process of Nalanda Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences is merit-based and conducted in a systematic manner for the different courses.

For undergraduate student admissions, particularly that of the B.Pharma program, the institution only considers taking the Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET) into consideration. The entrance exam is an integral part of student selection for candidates interested in the study of pharmacy.

The institute also accepts scores in Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) for postgraduate programs, particularly for M.Pharma courses. Also, the Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP PGECET) is considered for some postgraduate programs.

Application Process

Application process at Nalanda Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences varies from course to course:

For B.Pharma:

1. Pass in the AP EAMCET exam.
2. Register for the counseling process conducted by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).
3. Choose Nalanda Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences through counseling process as per your rank and seat availability.
4. If seat allotted, report to the institute for document verification and admission process.

For M.Pharma courses:

1. Appearing in the GPAT exam.
2. Apply directly at Nalanda Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences or through the centralized admission process, if available.
3. Submit all documents like GPAT score card, degree certificates, and mark sheets.
4. Appear for counseling or interview, if shortlisted by the institute.
5. Last but not least, make payment of necessary fees on selection to complete the process of admission.

For Pharm.D:

1. Search application notifications on the website of the institute.
2. Fill out application form for Pharm.D course.
3. Submit documents, i.e., 10+2 mark sheets and certificates.
4. Appear for any institute-level entrance test or interview, if conducted.
5. Complete the admission procedure after being selected.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Pharma: The Nalanda Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences' B.Pharma course has an intake approved at 100 seats. Enrolment for this four-year undergraduate degree is primarily on AP EAMCET marks basis. Candidates who possess a 10+2 qualification in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics are eligible to apply.

M.Pharma: The courses of M.Pharma offered in the institute have four specializations: Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Analysis and Quality Assurance, and Industrial Pharmacy. Admission in such programs is on the usual basis of GPAT scores. Any candidate who is a holder of B.Pharma degree from an approved university may apply. Screening for the scholarship at the level of the bachelor's degree during admission might also be needed as well as attending an interview.

Pharm.D: Nalanda Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences also offers a Pharm.D (Doctor of Pharmacy) course. Admission is likely based on the candidate's performance in the eligibility test (10+2 with science stream) and possibly an entrance exam.
