Nalanda Institute of Technology, Chandaka Admission Process

Nalanda Institute of Technology (NIT), Chandaka, is a prestigious and, where it offers a wide range of engineering and management programs. NIT Chandaka is engaged in the admission process to select deserving and talented candidates through different entrance examinations conducted on a national level and state level. Most of the time, the admission cycle begins in the months preceding the academic year, which begins around August-September. The applications for NIT Chandaka are considered based on different entrance tests based on the program. For undergraduate engineering programs, most of the admissions are based on JEE Main, which is conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The minimum educational eligibility requirement is completion of 10+2 with compulsory subjects as Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. There are varying important dates regarding the admission process depending on the specific program and entrance examination. Therefore, applicants would constantly need to check on either the official NIT Chandaka website or the respective examination portals for the latest updates regarding the application deadlines, examination dates, and result announcements.

 Application Process

Application at NIT Chandaka differs from program to program:

For B. Tech

  1.  Take the JEE Main by CBSE.
  2.  Qualifying JEE via valid scores.
  3. Apply via centralized MeG Counselling (details to be checked through the official website).
  4. Attend the seat allotment rounds.
  5. If allocated, report to NIT Chandaka for verification of documents and admission formalities.

For MCA Program:

  1. Write an OJEE exam.
  2. Obtain a valid score at OJEE.
  3. Apply through OJEE counseling.
  4. Participate in seat allotment rounds.
  5. Complete the admission process at NIT Chandaka if selected.

Regarding MBA programs:

  1. Attend the OJEE MBA.
  2. Get a valid score in the OJEE MBA.
  3. Participate in OJEE counseling for MBA admissions.
  4. Report to NIT Chandaka for further admission procedures if allocated a seat.

M.Tech applicants are to:

  1. GATE-qualified candidates: Submit their applications directly with their GATE score. 
  2. Non-GATE-marked will sit for the online test organized and managed by NIT Chandaka. 
  3. Shortlisting may invite candidates to other possible rounds of selection. 
  4. Conclude their admission process in case of selection at the institute.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Tech: The direct admission procedure into the B.Tech Programs of NIT Chandaka comprises the following disciplines: Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Computer Science and Technology. Admission to these courses primarily relies on JEE Main qualification. Presently, the total intakes considering all branches of B. Tech programs is 600.

MCA: For the MCA program, students will also be required to provide valid scores in the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE). The approved count for the MCA program is 180 seats.

MBA: There are MBA specializations offered at NIT Chandaka, which include Human Resource Management, Marketing Management, and Finance Management. Valid OJEE MBA scores will be the basis for MBA program admissions. The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination Board (OJEEB) would conduct the OJEE of MBA admissions. Each MBA specialization has been approved for an intake of 120 seats.

M.Tech: The two disciplines offered for M.Tech by the institute are Thermal Engineering and Computer Science and Engineering. Admissions are conducted mainly through GATE. Admission tests are in the online mode for candidates who are not GATE but will be exempted from it for GATE-qualified candidates. Each M.Tech program accepts 18 students.

Documents generally required include

  • 10th and 12th certificate and mark sheets
  • Graduation mark sheets and degree certificate (for PG programs)
  • Entrance Exam Score Card (JEE Main/OJEE/GATE, as applicable)
  • Category Certificate (if applicable)
  • Valid ID proof
  • Passport size photographs.

Currently I am studying in b.tech in computer science and engineering.All teachers are very helping,most teachers are from NIT very good teaching quality. This course curriculam is relevant and type of equipment, lab and fields exposure is given to every student which makes them industry ready in every aspect. Civil branch is good for getting a government .job.
