Hello
If companies have a strict 60% cutoff, then you might not be eligible for their placements.
Here are some alternatives:
1. Look for companies with flexible criteria – Some firms accept candidates with less than 60%, focusing on skills and experience.
2. Apply to startups and mid-sized companies – They often prioritize skills over marks.
3. Pursue certifications and internships – Strengthening your resume with relevant skills can help bypass academic cutoffs.
4. Consider off-campus placements – Many companies hire directly through job portals.
5. Higher studies (MBA, PG Diploma etc.) – If possible, improving qualifications can increase job opportunities.
Hope this gives you the clarity you need.
Hello,
No, you cannot sit for the KCET exam if you fail in Mathematics in your 1st PUC exam. To be eligible for KCET , you must pass your 2nd PUC (or 12th) with the required subjects, including Mathematics (for engineering courses).
You can clear the Mathematics subject in your 2nd PUC (12th) and then become eligible for KCET. But until you pass all required subjects, you won’t be allowed to take the KCET exam.
Hope it helps !
Hello
Submitting Improvement Exam Results in August for JoSAA :
No, JoSAA does not allow submission of improvement exam results after the counselling process. The eligibility criteria for admission require you to meet the 75% board percentage (or top 20 percentile) at the time of JoSAA counselling. Since JoSAA counselling takes place in June-July, you need to have your final marks ready by then. Improvement results declared later will not be accepted.
Eligibility to Participate in JoSAA Counselling in June :
If you do not meet the 75% eligibility criteria (or top 20 percentile), you will not be eligible for admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs through JoSAA. However, you can still participate in counselling but your seat will not be confirmed unless you meet the eligibility requirements.
If your improvement results are coming in July/August, you may have to wait for the next academic session or check if CSAB (Central Seat Allocation Board) allows late submission.
Hope this gives you the clarity you need.
