One of the Best Medical Colleges in Kolkata

College Infrastructure

My dream college,2nd home after Medical College, Kolkata because many toppers come here. One of the best medical colleges with large campus, pond, playing ground, superspeciality hospital, separate large hostels, well equipped labs. The hospital has huge patient influx, huge no UG, PG students. It offers a lot of courses like nursing, BMLT. During my admission not so clean, but now its one of the cleanest campus. Good hygienic canteens are there.

Needs better infrastructure but good college

College Infrastructure

Most of the buildings are not well maintained and the washrooms are in a very bad condition. The common room is kept very unclean. The dogs can be found roaming everywhere.Lots of noice pollution from ongoing construction.

An experience of grandeur.

The College has great lab, classrooms and buildings.Lush greenery and trees surround the campus with a huge playground. There are several buildings of different departments but the washroom need some improvement and maintenance.

Have a question related to NRS Medical College ?

Hello,

You haven't mentioned your category, hence I'm assuming it to be general.

If we go through last year state cut-offs for UR, then the closing rank to secure GMC was 36907 for Coochbehar Government Medical College and Hospital, hence chances for GMC is tough, though there are possibilities for government seats in private medical colleges:-

  • KPC Medical College and Hospital, Jadavpur
  • ICARE Institute of Medical Science and Research and Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy Hospital, Haldia
  • IQ City Medical College and Narayana Multispeciality Hospital, Durgapur
  • Jagannath Gupta Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital, Kolkata
  • Shri Ramkrishna Institute of Medical Sciences, Durgapur
  • Gouri Devi Institute of Medical Sciences and Hospital, Durgapur

Apart from this, you also hold good chances for BDS through state quota in

  • Burdwan Dental College and Hospital, Burdwan
  • Dr R Ahmed Dental College and Hospital, Kolkata

however, this is completely based on previous year data, cut-offs are subjected to alter every year based on various factors such as

total number of candidates appearing for the exam

difficulty level of the paper

top NEET scores

reservation

seat matrix, etc..
