My 4 years in this college was really a core memory!!

    College Infrastructure

Yes it has all the required necessary infrastructure and the equipment is also available for the students at all times and the class and the labs are well maintained as well and wifi is available through out campus and the living safe is very hygiene and clean.

    Academics

I studied Aeronautical Engineering since I was very interested in the field. The curriculum in our college had all up to date developments and hands on experience in various aspects related to it. This makes every candidate job ready

    Placements

There have been a decent amount of companies coming for campus placements throughout the final year. About 70-80% of candidates get placed and the highest salary offered was about 20LPA as I'm informed..

    Value for Money

My course cost me around 90,000 Rupees a year and I would say the fee structure is not overly expensive. They also offer scholarships for outstanding/sports/merit students which is a very good initiative to support extra curricular activities

    Campus Life

We have one of the best campuses in the city from amphitheatres to music rooms and sports facilities to canteens. The students can make full use of all the amenities present in the campus. Very supportive faculty and staff

    College Infrastructure

The infrastructure is sufficient enough. But I would say it requires more work considering the current market of engineering colleges. Even the hostels are pretty dirty. The canteen for the hostelites provided disgusting food which often ruined the students appetite

    Academics

In terms of curriculum and the academic during my tenure there, the college did provide ample opportunities to learn and develop our skills. All the professors were well trained and made sure to help us achieve our goals

    Placements

A lot of MNCs usually hog all the students and a few get into the really good companies which have a good package. The MNCs do offer the least packages. The number of big companies coming there are comparatively lesser.

    Value for Money

Considering how other colleges charge the students, nitte was a very reasonable college in terms of value for money. Except for the bus fees which is a bit too much, the rest of the fees do make sense for a college of this standard.

    Campus Life

During the mid year, they organise a fest called anaadyanta which is the highlight of the campus life. They organise events, games and also host famous celebrities who often come and perform. This is a experience which is worth it.

    Others

I had a fun time in the college. While I focussed on my studies, the extra curricular activities also balanced my college life. The fest and other cultural teams in the college are a nice addition to the college life.

    College Infrastructure

All the spaces are hygienic and almost all modern amenities are present, but maintenance is not there. There are some shops and stationery is also readily available. The mess is really really bad. Like below par level of what is the expected level of a mess.

    Academics

I am studying Computer engineering, they update the curriculum for only the 3rd and 4th year according to the industry requirements. The first 2 years are still studying very old stuff. Though it is a good thing for someone who has no idea of the basics (coding).

    Placements

Mass recruitment in my department, rest of the departments had a decent percentage too. Nearly 97% in computer science and 99 % in Information technology. Though some really good companies like Amazon and all do come, they take only 1-2 students if they feel like it .

    Value for Money

Would not recommend to someone coming from far up places, like anywhere from north India.

    Campus Life

It's a decent campus, but it is too far away from the city or ANYWHERE.

nmit is a good engineering college and i would say that in terms of basic amenities this college provides all the facilities that a student would need like wifi ,clean mess, proper sanitization and hostels are also in good condition

Have a question related to NMIT Bangalore ?

    Hy,

Choosing the right college for Computer Science Engineering (CSE) depends on various factors including faculty quality, infrastructure, placement opportunities, industry exposure, and student reviews. Let’s compare RNS Institute of Technology (RNSIT), Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT), and CMR Institute of Technology (CMRIT) based on these criteria:

    RNS Institute of Technology (RNSIT)

    Pros:

    1. Faculty : RNSIT has a strong faculty with experienced professors and industry professionals.
    2. Infrastructure : Good infrastructure with well-equipped labs, libraries, and facilities.
    3. Placements : Decent placement records with many IT companies recruiting from the campus.
    4. Industry Exposure : Regular workshops, seminars, and industry interactions.

    Cons:

    1. Location : Located a bit far from the main city, which might be a concern for some students.
    2. Crowd : The student crowd is mixed, and peer learning might vary.

Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology (NMIT)

    Pros:

    1. Faculty : Qualified and experienced faculty members.
    2. Infrastructure : Good infrastructure with advanced labs and research facilities.
    3. Placements : Strong placement records, especially in the IT sector, with top companies visiting the campus.
    4. Industry Exposure : Excellent industry tie-ups and opportunities for internships and projects.
    5. Accreditation : NBA accredited programs and NAAC accreditation.

    Cons:

    1. Location : Located on the outskirts of Bangalore, which might be a little inconvenient for some students.
    2. Campus Life : While good, the campus life might be quieter compared to colleges closer to the city.

    CMR Institute of Technology (CMRIT)

    Pros:

    1. Faculty : Experienced faculty with a good mix of academic and industry experience.
    2. Infrastructure : Modern infrastructure with state-of-the-art labs and facilities.
    3. Placements : Good placement records with regular visits from top tech companies.
    4. Location : Conveniently located in the city, making it accessible and offering vibrant campus life.
    5. Industry Exposure : Strong industry connections, frequent guest lectures, and industrial visits.

    Cons:

    1. Batch Size : Larger batch sizes can sometimes lead to less personalized attention.
    2. Competition : High competition among students due to the larger student body.

    Conclusion

    • If you prioritize location and vibrant campus life , CMRIT might be the best choice for you due to its city location and strong industry connections.
    • If you prioritize strong industry exposure and good placement opportunities , NMIT stands out with its excellent industry tie-ups and strong placement record.
    • If you prefer a balanced environment with good faculty and infrastructure , RNSIT is a solid option.

Ultimately, the choice depends on your specific preferences and priorities. Visiting the campuses, talking to current students and alumni, and considering your own career goals can help make the best decision.

which branch is good in NMIT eng college

    Hello,

NMIT Engineering College offers various branches, but some of the most sought-after and well-regarded ones include Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), and Information Science and Engineering (ISE). CSE is a popular choice, with excellent placement records and a strong curriculum. ECE is another in-demand branch, with a wide range of applications in industries like telecommunications, electronics, and robotics. ISE is also a great option, focusing on software engineering, data science, and artificial intelligence.

    hope this helps,

    Thank you

    Hello,

New Horizon College of Engineering is better for CSE.

The "NHCE" faculty offers strong educational content or resources.

Compared to other engineering branches at New Horizon College, CSE placement is by far the best. For placements, several firms come to campus. The student is given access to the placement drive in this case up to a year after graduation. Many core and non-core BPO organisations come here to hire new employees. The chosen candidates are also offered a decent package. Some of them are also subject to a 2- or 3-year bond.

    Thank You
