NSS College of Engineering, Palakkad Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

NSS College of Engineering, Palakkad has 3 hostel blocks (halls of residence) for boys with an inmate capacity of 483. Each student admitted to the hostel will be given the necessary furniture. Students should bring their own bedding as well as trunks to store their belongings. Mess facilities are also available there on the hostel premises.

NSS College of Engineering, Palakkad has a well-furnished girls’ hostel with an inmate capacity of 172 respectively. A separate accommodation facility is available for first-year girls at the NSS Working women hostel, in front of the college. Each student who is enrolled in the hostel will be provided with the essential amenities. Students need to provide their own bedding and trunks to store their belongings.

NSS College of Engineering, Palakkad has a Central Library and 6 departmental libraries which collectively support the teaching and research programmes. The operations of the library are computerised, with Koha, an open-source integrated library system used for library management functions. Users can search the documents of the library through the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC), which is accessible throughout the campus network. The central library has a large collection of books and is available to the public through an open access method. The central library has around 60 print national publications, 30 popular magazines, and six daily newspapers on its shelves.

NSS College of Engineering, Palakkad has outdoor and indoor sports facilities for students. Seminars, guest lectures, cultural activities, significant functions and meetings of students and faculties, department functions, and other events are held in the auditorium. The auditoriums are outfitted with the latest public addressing systems, LCD projectors, and comfortable seats.

NSS College of Engineering, Palakkad has two buses for transporting students and staff from Palakkad city and nearby areas. Buses run regularly on all college working days at convenient times. Buses are available for all academic/extracurricular tours/trips of students and staff in addition to everyday travels. The college bus committee, which consists of students, staff, and PTA representatives monitors the bus facility.

The college has a good networking for alumni association.
