Krantiguru Shyamji Krishna Verma Kachchh University was established in 2004 as a state university located in Bhuj, Gujarat. The university spreads on a massive 200-acre campus and imparts a wide range of courses: 130 different levels under 27 degree programmes. The total student enrolment at KSKVKU is 5,719 students. The composition of the student body includes 92% undergraduate students and 8% postgraduate students. Admission procedure in Krantiguru Shyamji Krishna Verma Kachchh University is based on merit, subject to the marks obtained in the qualifying exam, for most of the undergraduate courses. Some of these courses may also demand admission tests or interviews, in accordance with the laws and regulations of the state government and the university. The university shall arrange their respective entrance tests for the postgraduate and doctoral programmes, or may consider the scores of the entrance tests conducted at the national level. Some courses, for example, B.Ed, have a more formalised admission process, where at the outset a merit list is drawn up on the basis of the candidate's performance in the qualifying examination and/or those who sit for the entrance test. The NEET and NEET PG results are accepted for the medical courses under the affiliated college, Gujarat Adani Institute of Medical Sciences.
