Pashupatinath Post Graduate College, Ghazipur Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

Students at PGC have access to a huge sports complex with facilities for practically every major sport under the guidance of trained qualified sports teachers. There are separate grounds for football, hockey, and cricket. The spacious 6000 sq. ft. X 60 ft. high gymnasium is a functionally designed building with all modern exercise & fitness equipment, gymnastic bars, rings, mattresses, wrestling mat, badminton court, table tennis board, etc. Outdoor courts for basketball, volleyball, kabaddi, and kho-kho also exist in the complex. The athletics complex includes a 400m track, shot-put, discuss-throw, high-jump, long-jump, and triple-jump facilities.

The library of the institution is rich in modern books. There is a large collection of high-quality books for various subjects here. There is a reading room attached to the library, there is a complete arrangement of peace reading - Pathan. At the time of studies, the books required for reference are in the separate reading room. While using the library and reading room with the students, following the rules, orders, and orders prescribed and directed by the library, writing on the required reading room or library books, magazines, newspapers, and other magazines, etc. Tearing off pages or pictures or damage to library property like furniture etc. is a serious offense and disciplinary action will be taken against the guilty students. It will be mandatory for the student to show the identity card on demand by the library staff. Without an identity card, candidates can also be denied entry into the library or reading room. Books are also given to poor and meritorious candidates for the entire session from the book bank.

The Institute provides comfortable residential living for girls amidst lush green serene surroundings. There are separate hostels for boys (200 seated) and girls (50 seated), each under the charge of a resident warden who is assisted by a host of supporting staff like security guards, servants, sweepers, gardeners, etc. Strict rules are followed in the hostels to maintain perfect discipline. Accommodation is provided on a double-occupancy basis for Rs. 7500.00 pa. (Diet charge extra). A refundable security charge of Rs.1000.00 is collected at the time of admission to the hostels. Hostels have comfortable well-furnished rooms with 24-hour water & electricity supply (backup through high-power Genset) and telephone connection. Hygienic and homely food is served throughout the week in the hostel mess which is managed by the residents themselves on a cooperative basis. There is a dormitory & common room in each hostel with facilities of watching TV, reading and indoor games like table-tennis, carom, etc. Ragging in any form is a criminal offense and may lead to expulsion from the Institute.

There is a government dispensary on the campus with a full-time doctor and compounder. Students can avail of free health checkups, consultations,s and medicine from the dispensary.

The institute has a guest house situated on the campus, in order to provide accommodation to individuals and groups associated with official visits to PGC or guests visiting our campus. The guest house is comprised of a total of 06 double bedded air-conditioned rooms with attached bathrooms and all modern amenities.

PGC has the proud privilege of being the first institute in the U.R. and the second in India to house a low-frequency community FM Radio Station commissioned by Prasar Bharti, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Govt. of India. It has an ultra-modern digital studio for recording and sophisticated transmission equipment for airing live or recorded programs within a radial distance of 40 km. from the campus. The radio station is managed entirely by the staff of the institute and is a potent tool for the propagation and dissemination of knowledge to the masses.

The cafeteria at the PGC campus is an ideal place to chill out after the hectic class schedule. It provides the students a space to relax and recharge for subsequent sessions. The environment of the cafeteria stimulates and energizes students by offering a wide choice of food, snacks, and beverages both hot and cold.

A subsidized canteen fully air-conditioned is functioning within the premises of the Institute to serve hygienically prepared food to the staff and students. It is open from morning up to the time the students/staff are on the premises of the Institute. Delicious, hygienic, and wholesome food is provided catering to the needs of various students, staff, and faculty.
