Pondicherry University Community College-PUCC and is a college constituent to Pondicherry University in Lawspet, Puducherry. Degree wise Admission Process
BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications): The institution operates a BCA course which has an intake capacity of 52 students. The mode of admission is merit secured through the qualifying examination. The candidates need to have completed their higher secondary education with mathematics or computer science as subjects.
B.Sc Programs: The college offers B.Sc programs in Biochemistry and Visual Communication, both courses accepting 30 students for admission. Admission is merit-based considering the marks obtained in the subjects relevant to 10+2.
BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration): The system is BBA and has approved intake towards it as 52 students. Admission is by merit to the performance at the 12th standard exit level, with those in commerce being given preference.
B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce): PUCC offers B.Com programs within it with an intake of 60 students. Selection for these programs is based on merit in qualifying examinations that consider commerce subjects.
B.Voc Programs: There are many Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc) programs offered by PUCC such as Cardiac Lab Technology, Radiographic and Imaging Technology, Operation Theater Technology, Renal Dialysis Technology, Optometry Technology, Tourism and Service Industry, Retail Management, and Software Development. Most of the B.Voc programs have an intake of 24 students each, while the Tourism and Service Industry possess 30 seats. Admission to these programs may require a blend between that of academic merit and aptitude for the specific vocation field.
Postgraduate Programs: These postgraduate diploma programs are PGDCA, PGD in Hospital Management, Nutrition and Dietetics, Yoga, and Drama and Theatre Arts. Typically, these programs have an intake of 30 students each. Admission shall be based on the candidate's performance in the undergraduate degree program and may include an interview process.
