The Post Graduate Institute of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (PGIVAS), Akola, is a highly reputed institution for imparting education in veterinary and animal sciences. The PGIVAS is located in the state of Maharashtra and offers a variety of postgraduate and doctoral programs in veterinary sciences. The admission process of the Institute attempts to ensure that each of its programs is attended by the very best available and most worthy of candidates.
The admission process in PGIVAS is based, in general, entirely on merit for the M.V.Sc. and Ph.D. programs; hence the selection process for M.V.Sc. programs is primarily academic merit, whereby the more academically competent candidates would be accepted for this program.
