Application Process

Application process for PPG College of Nursing, Coimbatore, is as follows:

Degree wise Admission Process

The selection is on the basis of performance in the qualifying examination and any entrance test as stipulated by the state nursing council or university.

Post Basic B.Sc Nursing: The two-year course has an admission capacity of 40 students. It is intended for registered nurses who have undergone the GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) course. Admission is generally made on the basis of the candidate's performance at the GNM course and any entrance test administered by the college or affiliating university.

GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery): This three-year diploma course takes in 20 students. Students who have passed 10+2 with science subjects are eligible to apply. Admission is on the basis of merit of the qualifying examination and any entrance test held by the state nursing council.

M.Sc Nursing: The college provides different specializations in M.Sc Nursing, each lasting two years:

• M.Sc Medical Surgical Nursing (12 seats)
• M.Sc Psychiatric Nursing (10 seats)
• M.Sc Child Health Nursing (7 seats)
• M.Sc Maternity Nursing (6 seats)
• M.Sc Community Health Nursing (5 seats)

For M.Sc courses, the candidates should have passed B.Sc Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc Nursing. Admission will be usually on the basis of the performance of the candidate in the undergraduate degree and any entrance examination held by the college or affiliating university.
