Priyadarshini Institute of Technology and Management, Guntur Admission Process

The Priyadarshini Institute of Technology and Management (PITM) Guntur is one of the topmost institutes offering an array of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in technology and management. The admission process in PITM is just and transparent, intended to select the most deserving candidates into various programs.

The entrance tests for admission to institute courses differ by program. The Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET) is considered by undergraduate candidates applying for engineering programs; Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP PGECET) is for the postgraduate courses in engineering; and for those interested in pursuing MBA, the Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test (APICET) is to be taken.

For those seeking admission at the undergraduate level, plus two in any recognized board will qualify with compulsory subjects in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. For postgraduate programs, applicants must possess a bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline from an eminent university.

Application Process

The application procedure at Priyadarshini Institute for Technology and Management, Guntur, varies depending on the category of the program:

For B.Tech:

1. Take the AP EAMCET exam.
2. Register online for the state-level counseling procedure.
3. Select PITM and the preferred courses during counseling.
4. Complete documentation verification and pay fees at PITM if a seat is allotted.

For M.Tech:

1. Attempt the AP PGECET examination.

2. Attend counselling for admission to polytechnic.
3. During counseling, select PITM and desired diploma course.
4. Report to PITM for final admission proceedings if allotted a seat.

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Tech: PITM confers B.Tech degrees in several stream lines-computer science and engineering, electronics and communication engineering, artificial intelligence, and data science, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, and electrical and electronics engineering. The admissions are strictly based on the rank obtained in AP EAMCET. There are 390 B.Tech seats available in PITM, with computer science and engineering having the maximum intake of 180.

M.Tech: The M.Tech programs at the institute cover power systems, structural engineering, social engineering, VLSI, and computer science engineering. Admission into these courses shall be based on AP PGECET scores. Total M.Tech seats available are 132, with 30-36 seats in each specialization.

MBA: The intake for the MBA programs at PITM is relatively high, with 240 seats. Admission is based on scores from the APICET and other selection methodologies as defined by the Institute's nomenclature.

Diploma: The diploma classes offered by the institute cover Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Such admissions will most likely follow the Andhra Pradesh Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (AP POLYCET).

Usually required documents include:

  • Mark sheets and certificates of Class X and XII
