Priyadarshini Institute of Technology and Science for Women (PITW), Tenali, is an AICTE-approved all-women institution. Here, in order to maintain a completely fair approach, there is a structured admission process through various entrance examinations for all fields wherein students can be selected.
Thus, the admission cycle of PITW is generally coordinated with the academic calendar of the state of Andhra Pradesh; therefore, applications are called a few months prior to the beginning of the new academic year. Here, admission to undergraduate programs is based mainly on the AP EAMCET entrance test conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. On the other hand, for the postgraduate course admissions, it is based on the AP PGECET.
For the B.Tech programs: The minimum qualification is passing the 10+2 with Physics, Math, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects. For M.Tech: Candidates with B.E./B.Tech in the relevant field can apply. Out of these, 70% of admissions are done through the merit of the entrance examination, whereas the remaining 30% constitute those admitted under management quotas and NRI candidates.
Application Process
The application process for Priyadarshini Institute of Technology and Science for Women, Tenali, depends on the program:
For B.Tech Programs:
1. Qualify for the AP EAMCET examination.
2. Register for the counseling process conducted by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).
3. Opt for PITW and preferred courses during the counseling process.
4. On allotment of a seat, report to PITW for document verification and fee payment.
For M.Tech programs:
1. Qualify for the AP PGECET examination.
2. Register for the counseling conducted by the concerned authority.
3. Opt for PITW during counseling with any of the desired M.Tech specializations.
4. On being called for admission, complete the admission procedure at PITW.
Admission Process per Degree
For B.Tech program, the considered degrees are Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) and Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) of which admission to these two programs is on the basis of merit in the AP EAMCET examination. The B.Tech CSE has an intake of 120 and B.Tech ECE 60; candidates having a 12th qualification with PCM subjects and AP EAMCET can apply.
M.Tech: The institute offers M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering, VLSI, Structural Engineering, and Transportation Engineering. The admissions are based on the AP PGECET. The M.Tech C.S.E has an intake of 30. To be eligible, candidates must possess a valid B.E./B.Tech in the relevant field.
Diploma: Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and Electronics and Communication Engineering diploma programs are also offered at PITW.
