Hi Gowtham,
According to the analysis made with the last year cut off ranks in PSG institute of technology, you have average chances only to obtain a seat in any one of the mentioned departments in that college.
Be confident and wait till the last round of counselling to ensure your possibility. Also be careful while selecting the course and colleges during the counselling.

All the best
Dear Dinesh,
Congratulations for completing diploma with good percentage.
To join into B. Tech course via lateral entry you have to attempt any state level exam, or any other equivalent exam. After that basing the merits in counselling process the seats will be alloted.
Hence write any such exams to get elgibilty for lateral entry
Hope this helps.
Good luck.
I would suggest that you go for BE CSE in PSG college of Technology. It would be because PSG is better than SASTRA and also because even after doing B.sc you have to study for masters to land a job. Whereas B.tech is enough to get you a good job.
Now regarding the CS issue. I would like to tell you that even I didn't studied CS in my class 11 and 12 but I applied for CSE in B.tech during my college and you may feel a little disinterested at first same as for me but with your faculty and peers around , it will come around for you. CS has a lot of scope in the market and I would suggest that you pursue it.
Hello Nithish,
I am providing you the review of PSG tech...
Quality of Professors : Very specific to the department you intend to opt for. I cannot make blanket statements, but in my case, it was a bell curve spanning from exceptionally good to bad, but the exceptionally good ones made it worth it.
Diversity of Students : You can find a decent amount of students from other states, predominantly Erstwhile AP, Kerala and a smattering of North and North East. If in not in your class, you can definitely find people from the same region through clubs and hostel. But my advice would be to not tie yourself to a clique.
Rules and Regulations : No, the college doesn't have ridiculous rules like the ones you mention. But you may find certain hostel rules annoying. Especially if you are girl - you should be ready to coop yourself up in the hostel before 6:30 PM. I think it was slightly better for the guys - 9:00 PM, if I am not wrong. The girls' hostel was also a little uptight about how many weekends you got to go home. Overall, I would say the hostel is manageable with some prudent planning or carefully executed flouting of rules.
Freedom to Students : You do have the occasional professor trying to make life difficult but on the whole, it's a pretty chilled out place. But again, highly department-specific.
Quality of Hostel rooms : Much better than hostels of Government colleges from what I hear. But you would do well to keep your expectations at a minimum. We do have an amazing ground, though.
Food/Canteen,Quality of Infrastructure : The canteen food is your standard college fare, nothing remarkable. But affordable and better than hostel food at any rate. Though Tech doesn't have a sprawling campus like you would expect from a college of this stature, it does have good labs and libraries. And the industry right inside the campus is definitely something not many colleges can boast about.
Extra-curricular activities : Tech has a fair amount of clubs, for interests as varied as literature, fine arts, astronomy, nature, music and automobiles, which remain active throughout the year. You also have the usual suspects - sports, NCC, NSS. A shout-out to the totally awesome English Literary Society.
Recognition from foreign universities : Going by the universities where I know Tech alumni pursue further studies - CMU, Illinois etc. to name a few, I daresay it is widely-known.
Quality of Students : Remarkable. Comparable to the best colleges in the country. Tech gives you a good peer group that competes with you either through intellect or sheer hard work. Nearly two years after graduation, I still count some of my batch mates among the best minds that I know of. This should be a clincher.

Thanks.
Dear Aspirant,
I appreciate your interest towards PSG college of technology and I'm here to help you regarding your query !!
I'm really sorry to say that, you have the lesser chances of getting admission in Mechanical Engineering in the above mentioned college (i.e.., PSG Institute of technology, Coimbatore). As the closing rank is very far from your rank and it seems highly impossible. The closing rank in 2017 was aroumd 300 and in 2016, it was around 400. Hopefully, this year also it stays below 1000. So, you may also have chances if you come under reserved category. Don't give up, be positive and attend the counselling sessions without fail and proceed accordingly.

Dear Aspirant,
I appreciate your interest towards information technology in PSG Institute of technology, Coimbatore and I'm here to help you regarding your query !!
Generally, the minimum cut-off mark to get seat in Information technology is to have more than 195 out of 200 during TNEA cutoff and you should have the top rank in qualifying examination. Since, this is the top most College coming under anna university, it is a bit tough job to get seat, but don't worry you can easily get a seat if you have good cutoff.

All the very best !
Our college is one of the most reputed college in the coimbatore district. Well know for its infrastructure. Has one of the biggest auditorium. Classrooms are neat and has all facilities. Laboratories are well equipped and maintained.
Very poor tbh, there were only few buildings and mostly they were old. No WiFi, and restrooms are placed randomly. There are no seperate blocks for each department. We have to search for the classrooms.
Our campus was student friendly, it had numerous amenities. All labs are equipped well with huge space to occupy all students. Wifi is available in hostel. Clean and hygiene food is provided. Cleanly maintained.
