Pub Kamrup College, being a co-educational degree college affiliated under its name at Baihata Chariali in Kamrup of Assam state, provides large numbers of under graduate and post-graduate programmes in Arts, Science, vocational studies, and others. The Pub Kamrup College has the policy of taking students on a merit basis into all its programmes.

Pub Kamrup College is NAAC accredited, which maintains the standards of quality education. The student population of the college is gender balanced with 1,211 male and 1,354 female students.

Application Process

The process of application at Pub Kamrup College is given below:

1. Admission Announcement: The college publicly announces the commencement of the admission process through its official website as well as local newspapers.

2. Application Form Availability: Interested students can download the application form from the college website or admission office.

3. Form Filling: The application form has to be filled in carefully by the candidates, with all relevant information and supporting documents.

4. Document Submission: In addition to the duly filled-in application form, the following documents have to be submitted by the candidates:

• Mark sheets of the qualifying examination (10+2 for UG courses, Bachelor's degree for PG courses)
• Pass certificate of the qualifying examination
• Character certificate from the last attended institution
• Caste certificate (if applicable)
• Recent passport-size photographs

5. Application Submission: Filled-in application forms together with all the requisite documents are to be submitted to the college admission office within the given deadline.

6. Preparation of Merit List: The college prepares a merit list considering the marks secured in the qualifying examination.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.A. Programs:
Pub Kamrup College provides B.A. courses with different honors courses, such as English, Assamese, Economics, Education, Geography, History, Philosophy, Political Science, and Mathematics. The programs are admitted on a purely merit basis. The college takes the marks scored in the qualifying examination (10+2) into consideration for admission.

B.Sc. Courses
The college offers B.Sc. with honors in Botany, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Statistics, Zoology, Computer Science, Economics, and Geography. Admission to the B.Sc. courses is also merit-based on the basis of marks in the 10+2 examination, especially in the science stream.

B.Voc. Programs
Pub Kamrup College has two B.Voc. courses: Food Processing and Quality Management, and Software Development and System Administration. Both courses have an approved strength of 50 students each. Admission is merit-based, based on the marks in the qualifying examination.

BBA and BCA Programs:
The college has self-financed BBA and BCA courses with a strength of 40 and 30 students, respectively. Admission to these courses is also strictly merit-based.

Postgraduate Programs:
Pub Kamrup College provides M.Sc. courses in Biophysics, Physics, Computer Science, and Zoology. The admission to these courses is merit-based on the marks secured in the respective bachelor's degree.

Other Programs:
PGDCA (Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications), M.Voc in Food Processing and Quality Management, Diploma in Travel and Tourism Management, and Advanced Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technician are also available in the college. Admission into these courses takes place through merit-based selection.
