Rajiv Gandhi Government Polytechnic, Banikhet Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The workshop has four constituent shops viz. Fitting shop, Welding shop, Sheet Metal shop, and Electrical shop. The shops are fully equipped with the latest equipment/gadgets providing in-house training to diploma students. We also have conventional machine tools such as drilling machines, shapers, etc. In these shops jobs of metal cutting such as turning, drilling, threading, etc. are given to the students. The welding shop has the facility of Arc welding/ Gas welding and spot welding. The fitting shop has all the necessary tools for the conventional fitting and assembling of components. The Electrical Workshop has the facility for all types of wiring and winding of all types of electrical motors.

A well-equipped ultra-modern computer lab with hi-end core-2-duo computer systems of the latest configuration has been set up for the students. The systems are connected via the Local area network. A two Mbps Wi-Fi internet connection is also available for the students and staff.

A small library has been maintained on the institution's campus. There are about 290 titles and 1528 volumes of different subject-related textbooks & other general and reference books. To keep the students abreast of the changes in the field of science and Technology as many as ten Technical Journals/magazines are being subscribed. A book bank having 108 titles and 650 volumes has also been set up to provide textbooks to SC/ST and Economically weaker students on a semester-to-semester basis.

The college has a boy’s hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.

The college has a girl's hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.

The medical facilities are available to the students and staff just on the doorstep of the institution. The Primary Health Centre, Banikhet is located at a distance of fewer than 20 meters from the campus. Moreover, there is an arrangement with the PHC authorities to conduct a routine medical check-up of the students at least once a semester.
