Rajiv Gandhi Polytechnic, Musafirkhana, Amethi, Uttar Pradesh is an affiliated Institute which ensure proper technical education. The year of establishment is not readily given, but the institute has well developed itself in the offering of diploma programmes in engineering. Recognized under All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) the polytechnic currently offers three fulltime diploma courses with an admission limit of 300 students per session. The faculty at the institute has a strength of 4 teachers to give one on one attention that the students need to achieve their technical education goals.

It is for this reason that the polytechnic boast of having enormously provided facilities that can complement the learning of the students. The well stacked library contains records about 7000 books to serve the academia comprehensively. The best equipped modern equipped laboratories with state of the art equipment enable the students to learn practical as well as theoretical concepts. Information technology facilities are well developed at the institute with more than 100 Pentium IV PCs and servers in order to provide an IT exposure to the students advances technology trends. The proposed development plan for the college has well developed play grounds and stationeries for both indoor and outdoor games.

Rajiv Gandhi Polytechnic undertakes three regular diploma courses and all of them take three years to complete. Some of the offered diplomas are Diploma in Civil Engineering, Diploma in Electrical Engineering and Diploma in Mechanical Production Engineering. The Civil and Electrical Engineering programs for instance take 120 students each sitting while the Mechanical Production Engineering takes 60 students per year. These diverse courses can be of interest in a wide area of engineering knowledge and skills which are needed in the contemporary industrial world.

Rajiv Gandhi Polytechnic utilizes UP JEECUP, Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination Polytechnic as the main requirement for admission into its Polytechnic program. This evaluation test is used to determine the admission of aspiring students to the institute’s valued diploma courses. However, there is not certain admission dates that are given, though students interested in joining the colleges called upon to check JEECUP examination dates continually. Although the institute has relatively smaller commercial buildings than planned accommodation facilities, Cotonou still enjoys efficient accommodation facilities provided by the institute for education. Therefore the students whether male or female are privileged to find hostels as far as the girls’ hostel will provide enough security measures. Moreover, the polytechnic has its professionally managed Mess and Canteen facilities where all type of eating habits of the students are addressed. All the necessary transportation means are arranged together with a dedicated and effective bus service for students who commute from other surrounding regions to the Institute. Rajiv Gandhi Polytechnic, Amethi is one of the premier polytechnic institution imparting the technical knowledge and skill to the students to make them competent engineers all over the country. Being a center, which is aimed at delivering the best environment for learning and having rich infrastructural facilities, the institute is effectively establishing the destiny of the qualifying engineers to be in Uttar Pradesh as well as other areas of the country.
