Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in Education is a two-year full-time course offered by the University of Calcutta, Kolkata.


Eligibility Criteria

Candidates with at least 55% marks in M.A. in Education / 55% marks in M.Ed. are eligible to apply for admission to the program. There shall be a relaxation of marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST categories as per the Rules of the Government of West Bengal. Candidates having NET/SET/SLET are exempted from the written test but are to appear at the interview.

Admission Details

The applicants will have to appear in a written admission test comprising of 100 marks (Both objective and essay type questions) and an interview. The final selection will be based on the basis of the consolidated performance of the appeared candidates (academic score, written test, and interview).
