Rana Pratap Postgraduate College, Sultanpur, is one of the few premier institutions in Uttar Pradesh, India. The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate instruction in Arts, Science, Commerce, and Education.  Admissions in Rana Pratap Postgraduate College are conducted on merit and transparency bases. Most of the courses are given admission under merit on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. The college follows the admission process as per guidelines provided by the state government, University Grant Commission (UGC), and our parent university.

Application Process

1. Notification: The college notifications are prepared for advertisement on the official websites and some local newspapers.

2. Application Form: Each candidate is expected to obtain and fill in the application form. This is usually available online from the website of the college, or at the college admission office counter.

3. Document Submission: The following documents would need to be submitted by the candidates along with the duly filled application form:

Degree wise Admission Process

B.A., B.Sc., and B.Com: Admissions to this undergraduate program are generally based on the Class 12 or equivalent marks. Many subjects classified under these undergraduate programs are specialized courses in Geography and Defence Studies under the self-financing scheme.

B.Ed: The B.Ed share at Rana Pratap Post Graduate College, with an official approval of 100 seats, thus adopts a wider selection process to merit-based admission, covering marks in the qualifying examination and/or an entrance test, and may incorporate any other criteria suggested by state government policy, U.T. Administration and the university.

M.A. Programs: The college has an array of M.A. programs in Geography, Sociology, Hindi Literature, Sanskrit Literature, Ancient History, and Political Science. Admissions into these postgraduate programs are mostly made on the basis of merit derived from the relevant degree examination. Hence, some of these programs, like M.A. Geography, Ancient History, and Political Science, are offered as self-financing programs.
