Residential women polytechnic college Payyanur which was started in 1991 is a first of its kind that supports the empowered education for women. It is affiliated college situated at Korom P.O Payyanur, Kerala and the college occupies 19 acres of land. Affiliated to All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) it has been successful in making a mark in delivering quality diploma education. In total, the college has 613 students and 19 faculty members, thus preserving an almost perfect students to faculty ratio, providing individualized support.

Residential women polytechnic college has leveraged infrastructure development to create facilities that would help aid the learning process of students. A good library contains learning materials for scholarly as well as character development of its patrons. Technologically tall equipped updated instruments and tools make the laboratory feasible for gaining real experience in different subjects. Further more, the institute offers transport facilities, this makes students and staff to have safe means of transport to and from the institute.

Residential Women’s Polytechnic College has a total of four diploma courses as full time courses, and all, take three years to complete. These programmes aim at satisfying different needs and market requirements such as Diploma in Computer Application and Business Management, Diploma in Computer Engineering, Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering and Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering. The college has the intake capacity for a total of 230 students in these courses The college offers Under graduate programmes in Computer Engineering having it’s intake capacity of 60 Electronics & Communication Engineering having the capacity of 60 students Instrumentation Engineering having the ability of 60 students Computer Application having the capacity of 50 students Business Management the final intake in total of 30 students.
