- Library
The college offers one of the best libraries. The mission of the college library is to facilitate the creation of new knowledge through the acquisition, organization, and dissemination of knowledge resources and to provide value-added services. The library is situated on the ground floor of the college's main building. It has an excellent collection of books, journals, periodicals, CDs, and non-book materials in the field of science and technology and general books etc.
- Laboratories
The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.
- I.T Infrastructure
The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.
- Transport Facility
Our college is providing transport facility of 3 no’s college bus to our students from Kannur and Dharmasala. Two buses are operated from Kannur to Grwpc Payyanur which 1st bus starts at 8:00 am from the Kannur old bus stand through the Pazhayangadi route and the 2nd bus starts at 8:00 am from the Kannur old bus stand passing through Thaliparamba route. The third bus starts at 8:30 am from Dharmasala to Grwpc Payyanur. All the 3 buses return from college at 4:00 pm. Every year more than 130 students are utilizing the transportation facility. The buses will make additional trips to Perumba or the railway station according to the count of hostel students.
- Sports
Playing a sport is a great way for students to take a break from academics and release pent-up energy. It also helps them lead fuller and happier lives as regular sports and fitness activities have proven to provide not only physical benefits but also social and psychological benefits.
- Auditorium
The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.
- Medical/Hospital
A fitness centre is a place that houses exercise equipment for physical exercise. Our health and fitness centre is better than any other polytechnic, which is regularly used by our students. The centre is equipped with many types of cardiovascular training-related equipment such as rowing machines and stationary exercise bikes. The health club also has a motorized Treadmill, Manual Tread Mill, Elliptical Bike, Body Twister, Pec Dec machine, High lat pulley/Rowing pulley, Leg press heavy machine, Leg curl & leg extension machine, Weighing Machine, Gym ball, Facilities for free weight exercises has been attached to the Health Club.
- Gym
The college has a Gym facility for the students.
- Cafeteria
The college has a spacious canteen facility. A variety of South Indian food and snack items of the highest quality are provided to the students and staff of the college at a reasonable price. The canteen has a big kitchen and the kitchen staff take extra care to provide the students and staff with nutritious and hygienic food in the campus canteen.
- Boys Hostel
The college has a boys’ hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.
- Girls Hostel
The college has comprehensive hostel facilities for the students. Seats are limited and allotted on a first-come first-served basis. Hostel accommodation is available to a student, who is registered in the Institute as a regular student. Each student is provided with a table, a chair, and a cot. A good mess is provided to all the students. Mess is charged based on the dividing system.

The college has good networking for the alumni association.
- Extra Curricular Activities
The college also encourages students to participate in extracurricular activities like NSS.
- Training and Placement Cell
The Placement Cell of Government Residential Women’s Polytechnic College, Payyanur started functioning in 2002-03. Our students achieved placement in various reputed companies through campus recruitment. Many IT and non-IT companies visit our college to select candidates. Placement Cell can also support the passing out students every year to get direct placements in core companies in pan India even after their studies.
The placement activities are organized by the Placement Officer, under the guidance of the Principal. The college has a well-active Training and Placement Cell headed by the Placement Officer Mr. Sumit T. Chandran, assisted by representatives from various departments and by a team of student representatives from each final and pre-final year class. Most of our alumni got placements in topmost companies like TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Nokia, Mando, etc.
Training & Placement Cell conducts various placement training for students using in-house trainers and external trainers from companies. They handle sessions like group discussions, mock HR/Technical tests & interviews, General and technical aptitude tests, etc. Orientation programs were conducted for the final-year students. Several other training programs by professionals are being conducted to improve the communication skills and personality development of students
