In terms of teaching , both RMK & REC are good colleges
RMK got a mess where they serve you good non-veg food whereas rajalakshmi college does not offers non-veg food
REC is quite lenient when compared with RMK .Campus ambience is good in both the colleges but now REC campus is well modified and has more greenery.

Hi
As per your cutoff score and previous year cutoff, the colleges you get in Electronics and Communication Engineering are:-
RMK College of Engineering and Technology, Thiruvallur in 2nd round of counselling. The opening cutoff is 172.5 and closing cutoff is 152.5 last year.
So, you will get RMK College of Engineering and Technology, Thiruvallur in 2nd round through Anna University counseling.
To know more about your other colleges check out this college predictor link:
HEllo SelvaKumar
To get a seat in ECE in RKM Engineering College via Anna University counselling you need to get a rank below 13504 (non muslim) or 24615 (if you are a muslim). Since you have not mentioned your rank hence I cannot tell you anything more than this right now. All the best.
Hello Rajesh,
R.M.K Engineering College happens to be a private college in Tamil Nadu offering 16 courses across streams like Science and Management.
The admission process is based on the TNEA Counseling. Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) is a single window process. Admissions in Tamil Nadu engineering colleges are governed by Anna University every year for admission to undergraduate level engineering courses available at various engineering colleges of the state. There isn't any separate exam for joining the institute.
However for admission into MBA, the college conducts TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test) for eligible candidates, after which the short-listed candidates will have a shot at admission based on the interviews they undergo.
Hope this helps you. We wish you the best for your future endeavours!
Regards
Hello M Prakash,
For route you can search it in google...
I am going to tell the review of this college:
One line answer: Not a good college to join if u want to live the college life.
.
I am doing my education here.If someone asks me to share about my college, i can tell only few bright prospects when compared to its actions in the name of discipline.
Pro's :
Teachers are highly skilled and can enlighten us greatly.
They arrange for guest lectures often and from which we can gain a lot of knowledge.
A lot of placement training is given.
Con's:
They don't treat you like a college student(my school was way much better).
You get zero exposure. You are given 10 mins for break and 30 mins for lunch which won't be enough for eating itself. So there is no chance of talking with seniors.
Academics is the one and only goal for the management.A few days before we where to go on an IV(industrial visit) and the students who had more than 2 arrears where made to stay in the college.
No communication should be made between boys and girls(on the first day of college, i went with my parents and they even asked mom and dad to sit in the places seperately alloted for male and female) this is a stupid thing.
They expect clean shave each day and people are appointed to check yourmoustache.once i had my id card taken from me and i got rashes shaving from the saloon(these guy look you like you have committed a murder) and will take your id cards.ID cards are returned only after shaving is done(there is a sallon inside the campus for this purpose).
If you are absent for a single day,the first two periods of the next day is spent in HOD's room apologising and writing apology letters.
If u are not so good in getting marks, your life is hell here.Study holidays of 10 days are given for each semester and the students who failed to secure pass marks in the model exams(these exams are conducting at the end of each semester)are devoid of those holidays and are made to come to college and attend special classes).
No student can get out of the campus unless the college timing is up.Once i was sick and i had called my parents to pick me up and i was in sick room. They where waiting outside the campus and i had to get a total of 6 signatures from VP,HOD,etc.to get the get pass and the whole process took more than an hour.
Jeans are strictly prohibited. One of the best incident was, an imminent person came to our college wearing jeans to give a special lecture and was not allowed to give his speech. This person got really irritated and posted this incident in facebook and made it viral.
You should ask permission to go to the washroom. A guy had an urge to go to the restroom and the teacher din't allow him but he went to the restroom and his parents where called for this incident(just think if u are a parent and you receive a call from college saying " please come and meet us,your son went to restroom without permission ")
Mobile phones are strictly prohibited. If a person is caught with mobile phones, the phones are seized and suspension of 1 week is given and parents are called to the college and are advised.
Every students enjoys their culturals. In our college culturals takes place only for half a day and too in sundays(check for a video of any dance or singing in our culturals in youtube. You will hardly find).
Getting OD(on duty) in our college is one of the most difficult thing.Od is given under the following criteria,
The college that we are going to attend should be one of the top 10 colleges.
The student applying for OD should have NIL arrears and should be good in semester results.
OD is given only if you are submitting a paper for presentation not other reasons.
You should come to college daily, only by college bus & not by private cars or bikes.
There are no chairs provided for sitting other than classrooms. This is to make sure that students go to classrooms after coming from mess.
No canteen is provided (a canteen is there for hostel students and is opened only after 4 o clock)and outside food is not allowed .
My hostel friends say that we are lucky to be dayscholars and hostel life is hell.
The most hilarious of all is,if you are an outsider and is visiting our college for symposium or any other purpose, you are expected to come in formals, clean shaved orelse even your id cards will be seized like any other person in college.
I am answering this question as an anonymous because last year a student was suspended for posting something in fb about our college and even the students who gave like to the post were given suspension.
