RN Modi Engineering College (RMEC) is regarded as one of the very best engineering colleges in Rajasthan, Kota. The college has a huge number of options for undergraduate and postgraduate courses for different engineering faculties. RMEC also has a proper and laid-down procedure for admissions governed by the Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) and the Board of Technical Education, Rajasthan (BTER).
Generally, the admission cycle for RMEC is prescheduled along with the academic calendar of its governing bodies RTU and BTER. For undergraduate courses, majorly Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process (REAP) or Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main merit list-based admission is held. JEE Main generally takes place in January and April, with results being declared soon after the examination. REAP counseling for seats is normally held during June-July.
The minimal eligibility requirement for admission to B.Tech programs shall be that the candidate under consideration should have successfully passed the examination of 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the principal subjects. Moreover, for the B. Tech admission eligibility, a valid score in either REAP or JEE Main exam is mandatory. The cut-off percentage varies every year, depending chiefly on the competition and the availability of seats.
Application process
The RN Modi College conducts an associate program for admissions as:
For B.Tech programs:
1. Qualify in JEE Main or appear for REAP.
2. Register for the counseling process as per guidelines by RTU/BTER.
3. Fill in the application form with all accurate personal details and academic record.
4. Pay the required application fee.
5. Upload all relevant documents: self-attested copies of 10+2 mark sheets, JEE Main/REAP scorecard, and any other certificates as recommended.
6. Report for the counseling process; in the choices fill in RMEC and the preferred courses.
7. Upon allotment, the student must report to RMEC within the specified time limit for verification of documents and payment of fees.
For M.Tech program:
1. A Centralized Admission Test M.Tech (CAM) must be taken.
2. Register for counseling immediately after the announcement of CAM results.
3. Fill in the application form for M.Tech at RMEC.
4. Pay application fees along with submission of the form and necessary documents.
5. Attend counseling if eligible.
6. If selected, complete admission formalities at RMEC.
Degree-wise Admission Process
B.Tech: RMEC runs B.Tech programs in Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, and Mechanical Engineering. Each of these programs has an intake of 30 except for Civil Engineering, which has an intake of 60. The programs are offered based on REAP or JEE Main merit.
M.Tech: The college offers an M.Tech program in Computer Engineering with an intake of 18 students. Admission will be allowed by counseling based on the rank obtained in the Centralized Admission Test M.Tech (CAM).
