RVS Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Sulur Admission Process

RVS Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Sulur, at Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, as a primary seat of homeopathic learning. This college comes under the Central Council of Homeopathy (CCH). The main admission procedure is related to the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), held once a year for admission into various medical courses in the country.
The college only runs a full-time course, namely Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS), which lasts six years and completely immerses students in the art and science of homeopathic medicine.  The eligibility criterion for admission in the BHMS course is that he/she must have successfully finished with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology being the main subjects studies in the 10+2 or equivalent examination. 

Candidates must have also qualified the NEET, which is majorly the basis of admission for the College. The admission cycle more or less follows that schedule set by the NEET examination. Admission Process

Admission to RVS Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Sulur, is inextricably linked by the NEET examination and associated procedures for counseling. The admission application process will flow as follows:

1. The NEET application:

  • Candidates shall register for the NEET examination through the official NEET website.
  • Fill in the NEET application correctly.
  • Upload all necessary documents and remit the application fee

  • NEET scorecard
  • Mark sheets and certificates for Class 10th and Class 12th

Degree-wise Admission Process

Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS): BHMS course at RVS Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital is a flagship course that has been endeavored to develop competent practitioners of homeopathy. Most of the admissions for BHMS are decided upon a candidate's score in the NEET examination; hence the total intake capacity for this program is 50.

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology core subjects
  2. Must qualify in the NEET examination
  3. Prescribed age requirements as per NEET and CCH standards must be fulfilled.

The selection procedure comprises the following:

  1. The time of qualifying NEET
  2. Counseling according to NEET rank
  3. Documentary verification and allotting a seat at RVS Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital

The candidate must know that BHMS consists of Six years, which include all-round thorough learning about homeopathic philosophies and practices during that period.

Step 1: All the candidates, who are interested to take part in the BHMS/BAMS Counselling-cum-Admission process and satisfy the above mentioned eligibility criteria, must register online in the website of OJEE i.e. www.ojee.nic.in by creating their own Username and Password.
Only registered candidates will be considered for allotment / admission at all stages including spot admission.

Step 2: The candidate has to fill up the online Registration form, fill the choice of preference, lock the choice and take a print out of the same. During
registration, candidate must pay an amount of Rs. 1000/- online as non- refundable counselling/registration fee.

Step 3: The candidates, who get provisional allotment in the first round, have to deposit Rs 5000/-(SC,ST and PC candidates) or Rs 10000/-( other categories) through online in the candidates login portal or at Axis Bank in a format given in OJEE webpage (this form is also available at all Axis Bank counters). After deposit of part admission fee at Axis Bank, candidate will get a receipt from the bank which is to be produced at nodal center. The amount Rs. 10000 includes university registration fee of Rs.5000/- and part admission e of Rs.5000/-. Candidates have to pay the differential amount during admission at their respective institutes.

Step 4: The candidates, who get provisional allotment, have to appear for document verification at the Nodal Centre at the OJEE Cell, Gandamunda, Bhubaneswar with all the original documents as listed in Section C : List of Documents.

After provisional allotment, if a candidate does not report at nodal center during the scheduled period for document verification, then his/her allotment will be cancelled.

The list of the verified documents will be given to candidate and another copy will be retained at Nodal Centre.

All the seats shall be allotted strictly on the basis of eligibility, filled choices and merit.
