Saastra College of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Kakupalli Admission Process

 The Saastra College of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (SCPER), situated in Kakupalli, Andhra Pradesh, is an institute of pharmaceutical education. The college has a plethora of pharmaceutical courses and a well laid out admission procedure to get the deserving candidates to choose. Besides, SCPER has recognition by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Usually, the admission for SCPER takes place in the months of May or June for course offerings starting in August or September. Application Process

The application process at SCPER differs from program to program:

For B.Pharma and D.Pharma programs:

  1. Qualify the AP EAMCET examination.

  3. During counseling, choose SCPER as well as the preferred course.
  4. If a seat is allotted, report to SCPER for document verification and fee payment.

For M.Pharma courses:

  1. Qualify GPAT or AP PGECET examination.
  2. Apply through the respective counseling processes (GPAT or AP PGECET).
  3. Choose SCPER and the desired M.Pharma specialization during counseling.
  4. If selected, get admission at SCPER.

For Pharm.D and Pharm.D Post Baccalaureate programs:

  1. Qualify the required entrance examination (specific exam details not provided).
  2. Follow the application process as notified by SCPER or the conducting authority.
  3. Attend counseling or interview rounds, if required.
  4. Complete the admission process at SCPER if selected.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Pharma: Admission to the B.Pharma program at SCPER is primarily based on the candidate's performance in AP EAMCET. The approved intake of the program is 100. Candidates will also be eligible for admission if they have completed 10+2 with compulsory subjects being Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology.

D.Pharma: The D.Pharma program in SCPER has obtained an approved intake of 60 students. Admission is ordinarily granted based on the score obtained in entrance examinations such as GPAT or AU AIMEE. Some colleges may further allow merit admission in the qualifying examination.

M.Pharma: SCPER is offering various specializations in M.Pharma such as Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance, and Regulatory Affairs. Admissions for these programs are generally subject to GPAT or AP PGECET scores. Candidates should have completed a B.Pharma degree to qualify for M.Pharma programs.

Pharm.D: The Pharm.D program scoots to follow an admission process through entrance exams at SCPER. The details are not given, but it is quite certain that the institute refers to the scores from pharmacy-specific entrance examinations employed for their admission to that particular program.

Pharm.D Post Baccalaureate: This program also happens to be at SCPER, but no specific admission details are provided. However, in general, it admits candidates with a B.Pharma degree.
