Sakthi Polytechnic College, Sakthinagar, ErodeTamilnadu was established in the year 1981 this college comes under the tag of affiliated college. It is a diploma bearing institution approved by AICTE which offers various engineering disciplines. Located in 31 acres area, the college has 1441 total students intake and has only 22 faculty members. Sakthi Polytechnic College offers 8 programmes under one degree in the following engineering branches such as: Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Mettalurgy .

It also has modern facilities for learning to improve the experience of the students at Sakthi Polytechnic College. There are total of 32,824 volumes of different engineering subjects in library where as 3,258 books are available under Book Bank facility. Computer Centre which has AC facility has most modern equipments and software having individual systems for practical and project works. Internet service is provided through 10 Mbps broadband for the student community. It also provides different hostel facilities and accommodations for both male and female students which can accommodate 120 students each.

Sakthi polytechnic college offers a total of 8 diploma courses out of which all the programmes are totally based on full-time education. The institute has the capacity to admit 460 students on its various courses based on the developments. They are all aimed at different engineering disciplines and help student gain a strong grounding in their chosen discipline. From the course offered the college has anchored technical education in it and this reveals the programmes offered as follows: Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering Electronics and Communication Engineering Mechanical Engineering Metallurgy Engineering Agricultural Technology Computer Engineering and Instrumentation and Control Engineering.

Admission procedure works on merit list and government reservation norm here in Sakthi Polytechnic College. On the basis of minimum qualifying academic standards, the candidates are listed and called for counselling. Branch choice is allocation based on the candidate’s category in the respective reservation quota and number of openings available in the branch at the time of counselling.
