Sanketika Vidya Parishad Engineering College (SVPEC), Visakhapatnam, is a renowned college offering diversified engineering and management courses. SVPEC is a constituent of Andhra University and NAAC-accredited. The college follows a well-designed admission process with multiple entrance tests for different courses.

The admission process of SVPEC generally starts in May-June for the August-September starting academic year. Undergraduate programs are mainly through the marks of the Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (AP EAMCET). Postgraduate admissions also take into account marks of tests such as the Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (AP PGECET) for M.Tech. and the Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test (APICET) for MBA and MCA courses.

Application Process

Application process at SVPEC varies as per programs:

For B.Tech programs:

1. Pass AP EAMCET exam.
2. Apply through centralized counseling process conducted by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE).
3. Choose SVPEC and preferred courses during counseling.

Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Tech: SVPEC has 11 B.Tech disciplines with an intake capacity of 723 students. Admission is according to AP EAMCET ranks. Computer Science and Engineering (240 seats), Electronics and Communication Engineering (120 seats), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (60 seats), and Mechanical Engineering (60 seats) are the best specializations. There are some new disciplines as well, i.e., B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, each of which has 60 seats.

M.Tech: Various M.Tech programs are available in the college such as Structural Engineering, VLSI, Computer Science and Technology, Machine Design, Power Systems and Automation, and Transportation Engineering. It is done according to rank in AP PGECET. Intake ranges from 18 to 30 seats in a program.

MBA: SVPEC's MBA is conducted with an intake of 120 seats. It is conducted based on the APICET ranks and subsequently through different selection processes as per the requirement of the institution.

MCA: SVPEC has an MCA program with an intake of 180 seats. Admission is on the basis of APICET scores, similar to the MBA program.

BCA and BBA: SVPEC also offers BCA and BBA with 60 seats for each. Admission process may vary from engineering courses and could be on merit or a special entrance test.
