SCCT Navi Mumbai Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The library is an integral part of the college. It plays a crucial role in supporting higher education as well as research activities, especially in the context of the phenomenal growth of knowledge that is happening worldwide. The SCCT library has a seating arrangement for 65 students well furnished with wooden carrel reading tables with a separate lighting system and comfortable chairs, Journal & New arrival display racks and one charging and discharging counter. The library collection includes books in various subjects of seventh Streams. The bound volumes of journals are also available. The area of the library is 1036.31 sq. feet. The Library is divided into different sections - Home Issue Section, Study Room Section, Periodical Section, Reference Section, E-Resources Section, Self-Financing Courses Section, The reading rooms can accommodate around 200 users at any time to supplement the existing resources in the library, the library website is being used as a platform to provide open access resources through the E-Resources webpage. Access is provided to fully downloadable e-books, e-journals, audiobooks, theses, rare books, manuscripts, e-learning content, etc. for the benefit of the users. The various aspects of the library have been integrated and digitalized within e-Granthalaya, the integrated Library Management Software from National Informatics Centre (NIC). This software is useful for the automation of in-house activities of libraries and to provide various online member services.

The college has a big playground. It conducts football, volleyball, cricket, table tennis, carom, kabaddi, and athletes. It has enough space for gymkhana where students can utilize their free time.

The Department has a well-equipped Three Computer Laboratory (having an area of 100 sqft, 60 sqft, and 60 sqft each) housing more than 70 desktop and servers with the latest configuration. All the computers are interconnected to various high-end servers running Operating Systems like Windows XP and Linux and backed UPS power backup. All computers are equipped with the latest P4 dual-core processor-based workstations that are connected to the WINDOW Server with Local Area Network. It is supported by a Gigabit Cable Network and the speed ranges up to 1 GBPS. All labs are air-conditioned, well lit and well maintained and under the surveillance of CCTV. It has a sufficient number of projectors for each computer lab and also has a portable projector for a lecture. The students have access to excellent facilities complemented by twenty-four-hour broadband internet connectivity. 24 hrs Internet leased line with 10 Mbps speed. The wifi system is on the college campus

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has good networking for the alumni association. An alumni association is an association of graduates or, more broadly, of former students. These associations often organize social events, publish newsletters or magazines, and raise funds for the organization.

The college has well-equipped Science labs. All the labs are having a capacity of more than 50 students at a time. Students can do any kind of practical or research work comfortably. All labs Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are fully ventilation.
