Master of Physical Education (M.P.Ed) is a two-year full-time course approved by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and offered by Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University, Chennai.

Eligibility Criteria

Subject to the procedure laid down a candidate shall be admitted to the first year of the Master of Physical Education Course provided he/she has obtained,

A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with at least 50% aggregate marks from a University – Indian or Foreign – recognized for the purpose by the University of Kerala.

A Bachelor’s degree with Degree (B.P.Ed.,) / Diploma in Physical Education (DPEd) of at least one year duration with 50% aggregate marks, awarded by an Indian University or a Board duly appointed by the Education Department of the State / Union territory.

Indian foreign qualification(s) recognized as equivalent to those mentioned in (a) and (b) above by the University of Kerala, provided, further, that the candidate should be in the age limit of 20-25 as on Ist July of the year of admission.

Admission Details

Admission Shall be Made on merit on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance examination (written test, fitness test, interview, and percentage in qualifying examination) or any other process as per the policy of the state government/Affiliating University.
