SCOP Hyderabad Admission Process

Shadan College of Pharmacy (SCOP), Hyderabad, is one of the reputed colleges that offer various types of pharmaceutical education. Since it is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), the college has followed a laid-down procedure of admission for its varied programs.  The admission process for SCOP Hyderabad is mainly entrance examination-based, depending on the level of the course. For undergraduate admissions, the college considers Telangana State Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET). The basis for choosing for postgraduate admissions depends on the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) or the Telangana State Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS PGECET).  The college tries to maintain a diverse environment by admitting students from minority and non-minority categories.

Application Process

Application procedures at Shadan College of Pharmacy, Hyderabad, are specified according to the program:

For B.Pharma:

  1. TS EAMCET examination.
  2. Qualifying with the cutoff score.
  3. TSCHE counseling.
  4. Selecting SCOP Hyderabad and preferred course during counseling.
  5. Complete admission procedure in college if seat is allotted.

For M.Pharma programs:

  1. GPAT or TS PGECET examinations.
  2. Qualifying with specified scores.
  3. Those completing GPAT can apply either directly to SCOP Hyderabad or through a centralized admission process, if so.
  4. Attend for counseling or at least some shortlisted candidates must appear for an interview.
  5. If chosen, complete admission procedure.

For Pharm-D and Pharm-D Post Baccalaureate: While the details are not given, the general steps typically include:

  1. Meeting eligibility criteria (B.Pharm for Post Baccalaureate program).
  2. Apply to the college either directly or through an admission scheme.
  3. Appear for any determined requirement such as entrance exam or interview.
  4. If selected, complete admission procedures.

Degree wise Admission Process

B.Pharma: Admission to the B.Pharma program shall be based upon TS EAMCET scores, which is approved for an intake of 100 seats, both minority and non-minority candidates being eligible for the course. Under the already mentioned 70-30 quota system, the admission process will also take place.

M.Pharma: SCOP Hyderabad shall offer three specializations for M.Pharma:

  1. M.Pharma Pharmacology
  2. M.Pharma Pharmaceutics
  3. M.Pharma Pharmaceutical Analysis and Quality Assurance

Each specialization shall be for the approved intake of 15 seats. Admission shall rest upon GPAT or TS PGECET. Candidates qualifying for these exams shall be preferred for admission.

Pharm.D.: The college offers a Pharm.D. course with an approved intake of 30 seats. Admission details are, however, not explicit; it is presumed that the admission follows similar guidelines with respect to pharmacy programs, considering entrance as well as academic performance.

Pharm.D. Post Baccalaureate: This program's approved intake is 10 seats. The admission process has not been specified here, but most likely it requires candidates to possess a B.Pharm degree.

Essential documents for the admission consist of:

  • Entrance exam score card (TS EAMCET/GPAT/TS PGECET).
  • 10th and 12th standard mark sheets and certificates.
  • Degree certificates and marks sheets (for postgraduate courses).
