Shaheed Bhagat Singh College of Pharmacy, Tarn Taran, is one of the best pharmacy institutions in Punjab, India. The admission procedure functions as a comprehensive one across pharmacy programs at different levels. It is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) that ensures quality education is imparted to students commensurate to their training for industry requirements.

Shaheed Bhagat Singh College of Pharmacy admits students selected on merit among various pharmacy programs. The college has programs for diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate courses, thus catering to students from diverse educational backgrounds and passions surrounding the pharmacy field.

For undergraduate admission, enrollment in the college is mainly done on the basis of the percentage of marks obtained by the students in the 10+2 exams in which Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics were the main subjects. The cutoff marks used may vary year by year according to the number of students applying and the availability of seats.

The merit for admission to postgraduate programs is mainly on B.Pharm examination scores, but GPAT results are also factored into M.Pharm placements, along with other criteria where GPAT-qualified candidates are given preference. Degree-wise Admission Process

B.Pharma: B.Pharma program at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College of Pharmacy has 60 total seats, and merit in the 10+2 examination is the basis for admission in this program, focusing primarily on Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics.

D.Pharma: In the case of the Diploma in Pharmacy program, there are 60 total seats under this program as well. To be eligible for admissions, candidates must have finished their 10+2 in science. 

M.Pharma Pharmacognosy: This postgraduate course has 18 seats available. Candidates must possess a B. Pharm degree from a recognized university with at least 50% marks. GPAT-qualified candidates are preferred; however, the admission of non-GPAT candidates may also be considered based on merit.

M.Pharma Pharmaceutics: The M.Pharma Pharmaceutics program has a total of 10 seats for intake, similar to that of Pharmacognosy. Eligibility criteria and fee structure are the same as for M.Pharma in Pharmacognosy.

B.Pharma Lateral Entry: The college is offering B.Pharma lateral entry for diploma holders
