Shri MP Shah Government Medical College, Jamnagar Admission Process

Shri M.P. Shah Government Medical College, Jamnagar, is one of the reputed medical institutions. The college is affiliated to Saurashtra University, Rajkot. The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in medicine including MBBS, MD, MS, M.Ch, and Diploma courses. Shri M.P. Shah Government Medical College is open to the admission procedure offered by highly competitive entry examinations conducted at the national level.

For undergraduate admission, the college admits through National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG. Usually, NEET UG occurs in May and admission opens in February. 6. Reporting to the college for document verification for formalizing admission if selected.

M.Ch (Plastic Surgery):

1. Should have qualified in NEET SS.
2. Apply through centralized counseling for super-specialty.
3. Upload required documents such as NEET SS score card, MD/MS degree, and work experience certificates, if any.
4. Attend counseling and seat allotment.
5. Proceed with the college admission process on selection.

Degree-wise Admission Process

MBBS: Admissions into the MBBS course, according to the NEET UG guidelines, are offered through centralized counselling. The college provides 250 MBBS seats, available through NEET UG with requisite minimum cutoff marks by participating in centralized counseling.

MD and MS cover subjects such as General Medicine, Pathology, Anaesthesiology, as well as General Surgery, among others. Admission to these courses is based on merit earned from various NEET PG lists. The number of seats varies, depending on specialization, with offerings from 3 to 32 seats.

Diploma programs are available in various specialties such as Gynaecology and Obstetrics, Radio Diagnosis, and Anaesthesia. Admissions are based on NEET PG, from 1 to 10 seats depending on the course.

M.Ch is for Plastic Surgery: Admissions will be based on the NEET SS examination and with few seats available.

The following general documents are required for admission:

  • NEET scorecards (UG/PG/SS as per applicability),
  • 10th marksheet,
  • 12th marksheet,
  • Degree Certificate (MBBS/MD/MS as applicable),
  • Domicile certificate,
  • Category certificate (if applicable),

First if all there is nothing like semi government quota seat, it is government quota seat.

Now since you have not mentioned your category so considering it as general.

So on such marks and category you have no chances of getting M P Shah Government Medical College, Jamnagar according to previous year's cut-off. As we go through previous year's (2019) cut-off then it shows that in 2019 the lowest cut-off marks was 585 for M P Shah Government Medical College, Jamnagar under state quota for General category and we saw an increase of around 25-30 marks in institutional cut-offs in 2020. So if you are targeting for NEET 2021 then your aim should not be less than 600 out of 720 marks .

Regardless, BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) , is the professional dental course in India. It is an undergraduate degree course of 5 years in the field of dental sciences. A minimum marks of 50% is required in 10+2 along with NEET qualification for admission to BDS course. The average annual fees ranges from around 1 lakhs - 8 lakhs. However the fees vary for different colleges depending on whether they are private or government.
