Sir Issac Newton College of Engineering and Technology (SINCET),is a self financing college which was started in the year 2010 at Nagapattinam,Tamilnadu. This AICTE affiliated college provides various engineering courses on a campus spread over 10 acres of land. SINCET takes a total of 786 students while it has a faculty and staff strength of 88 and the institute creates a fit environment for technical education. The institute was offering 12 courses at two different degree levels and it was focusing on core engineering branches such as Mechanical, Electronics & Communication, Computer science, Artificial intelligence & data science, Agriculture engineering etc.

Sir Issac Newton College of Engineering and Technology has numerous achievement to offer to students in terms of resourcefulness that enhances their performance and development. The library which occupies an area of 1800 sqaure meters has over 11589 publications and offer access to 229 domestic and international journals and magazines. It also provides institutional membership in DELNET so as to extend enhanced access and use of the resources. For sports lovers, SINCET has garden space available with adequate sports facilities for various field and court games. Amenities in this college consists of it facilities such as, a cpu laboratory that is containing a sitting capacity of 60 students with broadband connection and LCD projectors. The hostel accommodation for both boys and girls is available with spacious rooms having comfortable bunk beds, round the clock electricity supply and recreation halls. Also available on the campus are a special canteen selling healthy foods, a 1000 seater reception hall and emergency first aid treatment facilities.

At present, Sir Issac Newton College of Engineering and Technology provides courses in total of 12 streams, comprising of the undergraduate and postgraduate courses. BE/B.Tech programmes are being offered for undergraduate students mainly in full time disciplines and ME programmes are offered for post graduate students in specialised fields. The total intake for the institute has been approved for 786 students over all the courses being offered. This is BE Mechanical Engineering which takes 60 students, BE Electronics and Communication Engineering 60 students, BE computer Science and Engineering, 60 students, BE Artificial Intelligence and Data Science 60 students.

The admission process of Sir Issac Newton College of Engineering and Technology College is pretty much non- clumsy and is easily understandable. For the undergraduate programmes, the college accepts the Common Engineering Entrance Test and Admission (CEETA- PG) and the following faculties also charges admission fees; This exam is a qualifying exam for those who want to study engineering at the institute. While concern with admission is paramount for the college, the institution takes education to mean more than passing of exams. As for pecuniary scholarship information one cannot point out, most likely the institute provides different types of scholarships for the students in need. Therefore, due to the commitment shown by SINCET in its endeavor to create professional engineers several courses and service features are offered that reflect on the college’s curricular and the well-equipped amenities. Like other colleges, BGC also has a functional alumni association with 20 members and one faculty member that serves a positive function to the current college student by offering career advice. Coordinated and supported by suitable facilities, Sir Issac Newton College of Engineering and Technology offers a wide range of programmes for the growth of engineering talent pool of Tamil Nadu and other states.
