Smt. Kashibai Navale Medical College and General Hospital. It is affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and is approved by National Medical Commission. The admission process in SKNMCGH is mainly national-level entrance examinations. For undergraduate courses like MBBS, the NEET is used for admission. MD and MS programs in postgraduates are based on the outcome of NEET-PG. The academic session usually occurs in resonance with these national exams, and the admission process usually starts shortly after the result declaration.

For MBBS admissions, a candidate must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as compulsory subjects. A minimum aggregate of 50% marks in the qualifying examination is required. For postgraduate applicants, they must have completed their MBBS degree from a recognized university.

Application Process

This application process varies with the course provided by SKNMCGH:

For MBBS:

  1. Qualify NEET examination
  2. Registration in the state-level counseling process for Maharashtra state quota seats.
  3. Filling up all required application forms according to guidelines provided by the state medical education department.
  4. Submission of all documents necessary, including the NEET score card, 10+2 mark sheet, domicile certificate if applicable, and other relevant certificates.
  5. Take part in counseling for seat allotment.
  6. If Allotted, Report to SKNMCGH for document verification and payment of fees within the specified time.

For MD/MS and Diploma Courses

  1. Qualify in NEET-PG entrance examination.
  2. Get Allotted under All India Quota counseling or state level counseling as applicable.
  3. Fill up the prescribed application forms of SKNMCGH on information received from the respective counseling authorities.
  4. NEET-PG score card, MBBS degree certificate, completion of internship, and other such documents.
  5. Counseling for seat allotment.
  6. In case the seat is allotted, reporting to SKNMCGH for verification of documents, payment of fee, and admission within the time specified. 

Degree-wise Admission Process

The main program provided at SKNMCGH is the MBBS course that admits 150 students every year. A candidate's performance in the NEET examination is taken into consideration for the admissions process. The candidates who are eligible must have completed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

MD/MS Programs: There are various specializations offered by SKNMCGH through MD and MS programs. Admissions to the courses are given on the basis of marks obtained in NEET-PG. Seats to the specialties are available at the college as follows:

  • MD Anaesthesiology 21
  • MD General Medicine 9
  • MS General Surgery 10
  • MD Obstetrics and Gynaecology 8
  • MD Paediatrics 6
  • MD Pathology 7
  • MS Orthopaedics 5
  • MD Radiodiagnosis 5

Other MD/MS have fewer seats i.e. (2-4) seats includes Biochemistry, Community Medicine, Microbiology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Pharmacology, Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases, Dermatology Venereology and Leprosy, Psychiatry, Physiology and Anatomy.

Diploma Courses: The college also has diploma courses such as Diploma in Clinical Pathology-2 seats and Diploma in Public Health-1 seat. Admission to these diploma courses is also based on NEET-PG scores.

All Post Graduate Courses: All post graduate courses at this college are offered to those candidates who have completed their MBBS degree from a recognized university and are eligible for the NEET-PG examination.

General documents required at the time of admission are as follows:

  • NEET/NEET-PG score card
  • 10th and 12th mark sheets
  • Degree certificates (MBBS for PG courses)
  • Internship completion certificate (for PG courses)
  • Domicile certificate if required
  • Caste certificate if required
  • Medical fitness certificate
  • Migration certificate if required
  • Recent passport size photographs

As per your marks is concerned I think you need a bit more marks to get a MBBS seat. In this range of marks you have chances to get a BDS seat . However some conditions are considered while deciding the cut offs like choices filled by the candidates, number of vacant seats in college, previous years cut offs and toughness level of the paper.

You are expecting a good score and  therr is less chance to get a seat for MBBS in KASHIBAI NAVALE MEDICAL COLLEGE, Pune, Maharashtra. The chances are less that you are eligible for the seat in this college as the previous year cutoffs for obc are around 500 marks for obc state quota. But you can wait for the spot round also, if you are lucky you can get a seat. For MBBS the fees is around 12,00,000/ year and hostel fees is around 60,000/year.

NEET 2022 Cut Off will be published by the NTA on the official website at neet.nta.nic.in after the declaration of NEET results .

Furthermore, As per the latest trends, the expected cut off marks for NEET 2022 is 50% marks for general category, 45% marks for PH candidates and 40% for candidates from reserved category . Last year the NEET qualifying marks for 2021 were more than or equal to 138-720 for general category and 108-137 for OBC/SC/ST categories.
