Smt. Velagapudi Durgamba Siddhartha Law College started in 1987, is one of the premier legal institutions in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. This institution is located on a small campus of 2.6376 acres and has been moulding the careers of youngsters in the field of law for the last thirty years. This institution is affiliated to the Bar Council of India (BCI). With a total enrolment of 824 students and a faculty strength of 12, a concentrated study environment is provided within the institution. Two specialised law programs of the institution are working towards the requirements of aspiring legal professionals; total enrolment is 240 seats annually.

The faculties have created facilities in the college for the enrichment of the academic curriculum for students. At the centre of these facilities is the well-stocked library with an impressive collection of 9,694 volumes. It subscribes to 19 national legal journals of repute and five periodicals. Back volumes of all the important legal publications are also preserved from 1950. Students are provided free online access to legal case law software by Manupatra, one of the pioneers of legal software. The concern of the college towards practical learning is manifested in its moot court facility where students regularly practice their argumentative and analytical skills under the watchful guidance of the faculty. A spacious seminar hall with a seating capacity of about 300 participants acts as the venue for seminars and symposiums on current legal, social, and economic issues, widening the horizon of students' perspectives.

Smt. Velagapudi Durgamba Siddhartha Law College offers two full-time courses in law: a 3-year LLB and a 5-year integrated BA LLB. The approved intake for the LLB course is 160 seats and, for BA LLB, it is 80. Both programs provide a complete legal education that will help students appear very successful in their respective careers related to the legal domain. The college's sanctioned intake for students is 240.
