Sri Padmavathi School of Pharmacy, Tirupati Admission Process

This new-age pharmacy school is located in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, and its full name is Sri Padmavathi School of Pharmacy (SPSP). This is a prestigious institution offering a variety of pharmaceutical education. It is authorized by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) which implies that the college is to follow a tough admission procedure of selecting the most deserving candidates from among the numerous applicants into the available courses.

The Admission process varies from one program to another. However, it mostly consists of entrance tests and counseling. For undergraduate programs like B.Pharma and Pharm. D, the admissions are handled using AP EAMCET (Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test) counseling. On the other hand, the M.Pharma teaches at the postgraduate level in this institution and consideration for admission is through GPAT (Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test) or AP PGECET (Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test).

Application Process

The application process at Sri Padmavathi School of Pharmacy varies according to the program concerned:

For B.Pharma and Pharm.D:

3. Choose SPSP and the desired course in counselling.

For M.Pharm and Pharm.D Post Baccalaureate:

3. Attend counselling or interviews if called by the institute.
4. If selected, finalize the admission process at SPSP.

Degree-Wise Admission Process

B.Pharma: Admission to the 4-year B.Pharma program is based on AP EAMCET counseling. The course has an approved intake of 100 students. A candidate having passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/ Mathematics is eligible to apply.

M.Pharma: There are three specialist areas in which SPSP offers M.Pharma programs: Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, and Pharmaceutical Analysis. Each specialization has an approved intake of 15 students. Admission is based on GPAT or AP PGECET scores. Candidates holding a B.Pharma degree can apply.

Pharm.D: The 6-year Pharm.D program admits students through AP EAMCET counseling. The approved intake is 30 students. Candidates who have qualified in EAMCET (both in Bi.P.C. or M.P.C.) can apply for admission.

Pharm.D Post Baccalaureate: Of the 10-place allowance, 3 years are allotted for this program. Admission is based on GPAT or AP PGECET scores. B.Pharma graduates are allowed to apply.

Required documents for admission generally include: - The score card for AP EAMCET/ GPAT/ AP PGECET, - 

  • Mark sheets and certificates of 10th and 12th standard
  • B.Pharma degree certificate and mark sheets (for postgraduate courses)
  • Transfer certificate
  • Migration certificate (if applicable)
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Recent passport-size photographs
