Sri Vasavi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (SVIPS) is one of the premier institutions in the field of pharmacy providing undergraduate and postgraduate courses in pharmacy. SVIPS is recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) as well as the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and the institute mainly having a merit-based admission process set by the Government of Andhra Pradesh for the state.
The admission procedure at SVIPS mainly operates through entrance tests conducted in various disciplines. In the case of an undergraduate program, qualifying an entrance is AP EAMCET or Andhra Pradesh Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test organized by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. Postgraduate entries are dependent upon GPAT and AP PGECET scores.
This vocational institute follows the reservation principle adopted by the government and thus provides students from different categories with opportunities. The admission cycle usually follows the academic calendar and starts after the entrance results are announced.

For B.Pharma:
1. Qualify in the AP EAMCET examination conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

For M.Pharma programs:
1. Qualify either in GPAT or AP PGECET examination.

3. Select SVIPS and the chosen M.Pharma specialization during counseling.
4. If allotted a seat, one must visit SVIPS for document verification and completing the admission process.
Degree wise Admission Process
B.Pharma: SVIPS offers this 4-year full-time undergraduate course with approved intake of 100 students in B.Pharma. Admission to this course is granted on the basis of the AP EAMCET test. Therefore, a candidate must qualify in the AP EAMCET conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The selection is solely based on merit secured in the entrance test. Eligibility criteria include completion of 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology as subjects.
M.Pharma: At SVIPS, there are 3 specializations available in M.Pharma; Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, and Pharmaceutical Analysis and Quality Assurance. Each specialization has an intake of 15 seats, which makes the total seat intake in postgraduation programs 45. Admission for the M.Pharma programs is based either on GPAT or AP PGECET scores. Candidates need to qualify in either of these examinations for admission eligibility.
