St. Joseph's College of Pharmacy, Cherthala (SJCP), a prominent institution in the pharmacy field, offers thorough professional pharmacy courses. Admission in SJCP is intended to admit the suitable candidates into any of the varied pharmacy programs that the institution offers. Undergraduate and postgraduate program offerings include B.Pharma, M.Pharma, Pharm.D, and D.Pharma. For B.Pharma and D.Pharma programs: Requirements Include

  4. Fill out the M.Pharma application form that is uploaded on the college website.

  6. The merit list shall be prepared by the college based on GPAT scores and academic merit.
  7. Shortlisted candidates can be called to counseling and to admission.

For Pharm.D program:

  1. Candidates must complete 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics. 
  2. Admission notifications about Pharm.D will be available on the college website.
  3. Application forms for Pharm.D will be downloaded and filled.
  4. Submission of completed applications with necessary documents and fees is required.
  5. The college can either conduct its own entrance test or accepts scores from relevant pharmacy entrance exams. 
  6. Shortlisted candidates will be called for counseling and admission.

Admission Process according to Degree

B.Pharma: The Bachelor of Pharmacy program at SJCP is approved for a maximum of 60 intakes yearly. Candidates most probably obtain admission to this four-year course based on their performance in relevant entrance exams combined with their 10+2 results in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics.

M.Pharma: SJCP offers M.Pharma programs in three specializations: Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, and Pharmacology. In total, the intake capacities are as follows: 15 for Pharmaceutical Chemistry, 12 for Pharmaceutics, and 15 for Pharmacology. Admission procedure is predominantly on the basis of Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) scores. The course recognizes GPAT scores for selecting eligible candidates who meet the qualifying criteria and require an examination that is usually B.Pharma degree.

Pharm.D: The Doctor of Pharmacy program is approved for intake of 30 students in SJCP. Six years, the entire doctoral program gives in-depth training in pharmacy practice and clinical pharmacy. Admissions into Pharm.D might take into consideration evaluation of the entrance exam score and the academic performance of the student in 10+2 with science subjects.

D.Pharma: The D.Pharma program at SJCP is approved for up to 60 students. This program results in a two-year diploma designed for students who want to enter the pharmacy profession on a technical level. Admission here usually depends on student performance in the 10+2 examination with science subjects.
