You can pursue a PG in EEE with weekend classes through :

1. Part Time M.Tech/ME – Offered by IITs , NITs , BITS Pilani (WILP) , VIT , Anna University etc (2.5–3 years).

2. Online/Distance PG Programs – IIT Madras (Online M.Tech), IGNOU, Amity Online etc.

3. Executive M.Tech/PG Diploma – Available at IITs, IIITs and IISc for working professionals.

Your 7.98 CGPA is good and most part-time programs don’t require GATE.

No, you cannot join the state 3rd round seat after resigning from the All India 3rd round seat.

Why?

1. MCC Rules : After joining a seat in Round 3 (Mop-up round) of All India Counselling, you are not allowed to resign or participate in further counselling (including state rounds).
   
   
2. Bond & Penalty : If you resign, there may be penalties , including debarment from future counselling and forfeiture of fees.
   
   What Can You Do?

• Check State Counselling Rules : Some states allow admission if the MCC seat is resigned before a certain deadline .
  
  
• Consult MCC & State Authorities : Contact them immediately to understand your options.

If you have already joined the All India Round 3 seat, changing to a State Round 3 seat is usually not possible .
