Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in Shift-I Specialisation History and Tourism Stream is a three-year full-time undergraduate Course offered by Stella Maris College, Chennai and affiliated to University of Madras, Chennai.

Eligibility Criteria

A person, who have passed Higher Secondary/Intermediate (10+2) any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto, shall be eligible for the course.

Admission Details

All UG departments conduct interviews and selection is done based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination. The Fine Arts Department administers an entrance test for the Bachelor of Visual Arts programme to assess the aptitude and creativity of the candidates.

College Infrastructure

The college has all necessary infrastructures like laboratories, library, canteens, gym, infirmary, sports centers, physical education centers , incubation centers, research centers, and so on which are maintained properly in a timely manner. There are more than 10 Wi-Fi connections available in the college campus which can be accessible 24/7. The classrooms are spacious with good furniture and smart TVs. Hostel facility is available and food in the hostel is very hygiene and the hostel is safe.

College Infrastructure

As far comparing to other college in Chennai, I feel Stella Maris have good infrastructure. They have four good hostel for students with high security , laboratories with advanced equipments which helps students to take up their own research . the college also have many clubs like western dance club , event management club and so on for students which enables them to showcase their talents. To mention specifically it have ramps and other special equipment for physically challenged students.
